Mystery Current—2016 Hawk Slide-in on Flatbed

If it is easily accessible, check your "Truck-to-Camper" wiring plug. Usually that will be an Attwood trolling motor plug. If you can, and it is easy, try unplugging it at night (temporarily unplug the camper from the truck connection) and see if the tail light dim goes away ? We have seen...

    Adequate Hawk Install?

Karlton I can't say how they did the install for sure, but on many of the Chevy trucks, at least one of the rear eye bolts goes through the mounting supports for the truck bed, as well as through the truck bed itself. Usually in the rear / driver's side corner from what I remember. If you are...

    New to water heater

If you are hooked up to city water source, and you open either your hot water on the outside shower or your hot water faucet on the sink, the hot water heater will fill up with water.

    New to water heater

If the hot water heater is empty, and you do not open any hot water valves, the hot water tank will usually not fill. It will stay empty.

    Hawk Shell side benches?

About a year or so ago, FWC changed from those carpeted side steps (on the empty shell model) from opening on the top, to now opening on the front. So when you get your camper in Dec. you won't have lift up carpeted side steps. But you will still have storage space inside of there. Hope this...

Domestic 3 way only lights on 5

Cleaning the burner tube would be my first suggestion. The small slits on the end of the burner tube (where the flame comes out) get covered in soot and rust. If they are blocked, even a little, the flame size will be reduced. There are many helpful videos on YouTube:

    leaks while driving

Not heard of many problems on new campers with water coming in the pop-up windows while driving. But I have seem water come in when the customer, or our staff borrowing campers, does not gently stretch each window flap up tightly, one flap at a time, and run their fingers across the Velcro all...

04-17-2021 All Raven Models these days have a sliding window installed on the passenger side of the camper. We are no longer using the 1/2 louvered window with the pop-up escape hatch. Hope this helps.

2014 (Sept.) Hawk, roof solar wiring but no plug?

There is probably a junction box in your ceiling. Super easy to get to, and easy to install a solar plug on the roof, if you have a junction box inside. Sample pic on where to look . . .

    Slight bow in roof?

The flatbed camper roofs are a bit longer than some of the smaller slide-in campers. The longer the camper roof, the more items you have on the camper roof, the more bow in the roof you will notice. I have seen a few flatbed campers with roofs like that. Not much you can do about it, except...
