RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Can a 22 Grandby fit on a 1997 F250/f350 long bed

Should be easy. The 2022 Grandby should fit all of the older Ford F-250/F-350 trucks. Older trucks were easier to fit campers on, and wider, so fit is rarely an issue. Attached is a sample pic on a newer Grandby, on an older Ford trucks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What year was a outdoor shower to be a option on a Hawk ?

Correct. We did build a few campers in 2004 called the X Model. Those were some of the first with hot water / outside shower.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper sits higher in the front than in the rear?

It is the truck bed. Many of the new truck beds are tapered (different depths in front and back of the truck bed). Has been happening since about 2002 with the Dodge ram 2500/3500 trucks. They are deeper on one end of the truck bed, compared to the other end of the truck bed. We see it all...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What year was a outdoor shower to be a option on a Hawk ?

FWC started installing hot water heaters / outside showers around 2005 - 2006. (optional equipment, so not all used campers back then will have one installed) If you can find a used FWC that already has one installed, then that is a bonus, and might be your best route, if it is a "must have"...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Northstar campers

Northstar Campers have been around a long time. Wood frame construction. But they are really well built. MUCH better than something like the Palomino brand. That one in the ad looks like it has been well cared for. Clean.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West shore power mystery

If you are not getting 120V AC shore power when you have the camper plugged in to your house, it's usually one of two things . . . 1. The circuit breakers inside your kitchen cabinets are not turned on. 2. The fuse on the end of the IOTA power converter blew, and needs replacing. Hope this...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Exterior Paint TLC

It’s the paint color. Colonial White. Your truck and the Jacks are Arctic White. No amount of buffing will make it bright white. The old truck paint colors matched. Old trucks were more off white.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Four Wheel Fleet vs Palomino Backpack SS500. Which is better?

Some of the Palomino campers look really big to me when they are mounted on the smaller trucks. If you end up with a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon, the Palomino camper probably won't be sitting as tall in the truck bed as the attached photo. The truck beds are deeper on the Chevy Colorado. But...

Fresh water tank only holds 20 gallons. When empty, there could be 1.5 - 2 gallons of water in the tank still below the drain hose port. Hot water heater holds 6 gallons (separate from the fresh water tank).

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Power Tank mounted to FWC

I only have one older picture saved. I think (think?) they mounted it where one of the rear wall steps would normally go. (through-bolted through the frame) Attaching it to a Jack Bracket would be a lot easier.
