My thermostat is slightly different, but the internals may be the same. There is an adjustment inside which controls the hysteresis, offhand I don't recall what term they use. Did you get a little brochure manual as it is in there? I had to adjust mine quite a bit to get it more reasonable.

I emptied my two 2 gal rotopax into my tank this winter and refilled them when gas was cheap. I stood them in my garage until I put the camper back on last week. Both cans were bowed out above and below the center mounting point like pillows. Don't know why this would be, I didn't think gasoline...

Very happy to hear Rotopax is standing behind their product. I have two of the 2gal containers, though I store them flat in a carrier, so no stresses on the seams like in your rig.
