RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Perseid Meteor Shower

Been wondering the same Bill. I think I will wait until the time is a little closer as smoke and heat will factor into my decision.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West And So They Continue........................Fires

Second guessing these events is actually easy because of hindsight. It is the first guess that is hard. After a good lightening event you could have scores of small fires, maybe even a hundred up and down the entire Sierra crest. Every one you send a hand crew or make a drop on is an existing...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Van Conversions & RV Photo Gallery

Wow, Ski seems pretty smitten with our new rig. Granted, though, so are we. I know I promised more photos when I first got this. I have been waiting to complete some projects. But the projects are going slower than I planned, so maybe I should just get it done. Thanks for the nice comment Jim...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West And So They Continue........................Fires

Was out and about this afternoon. Could see the wall of thunderstorms along hundreds of miles of the Sierra crest. Evening news showed a graphic of the hundreds, if not thousands, of lightning strikes. Warned of more tomorrow. Sigh. It is going to be ugly.

Nice job on the roof insulation upgrade. Sure wish FWC insulated the roof properly from the start.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Two night getaway to the North Coast Mattole Road

Looks like a good trip Bill. I have been interested in Mattole Road but have heard lots of stories about how bad it is. Thanks to your many photos it does not look that bad at all. Lots of asphalt patching, but solid. Love the photos of the views reflected in the windows. And wine, cheese and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Our attempt at avoiding the Memorial Day crowds

We have enjoyed the campsite at Vee Lake with the eagles as well. We were just wondering yesterday if it still had water after this disappointing winter. Now we know. Thanks for the report, nothing better than a trip with no crowds.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West My First Trip to Death Valley

I'm going with Stovepipe Wells, Badwater, and no idea for #3. I'm guessing Monte is the third child hanging out over #2's thigh. And the heck with the wagon, I'll take the Jag!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Grand Teton NP camping

We were there just a few weeks ago. We have been doing one or two trips a year to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Not real anxious to return after this one. The reservations only is also now in effect for the small campgrounds in Lamar Valley in Yellowstone also (Pebble Creek and Slough Creek)...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Maiden Voyage for the The Ted's Tiger

Thank you all for the nice comments. Sorry for the late response but we have put more than 4000 miles on it in the last month, so have not had a chance. I will do more photos soon. I was thinking of waiting until I finished a list of modifications, but Mrs Ted pointed out those never end so I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Going to a Class B

The generator box is where I asked them to install them. Unfortunately in the early build they saw "no generator" so they built the back of the camper solid instead of installing the box and access door. The solution was to put them under the couch. Still kind of difficult to get to but so much...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Maiden Voyage for the The Ted's Tiger

Got a chance to break in the new rig. Kept it simple to start so all on asphalt and in campgrounds. Still working out packing details and making it so things stay put when off road. It definitely rock and rolls more than our Tundra/FWC so things move around. Will do a rig report in the future...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Elvis has left the building!

Yes, pictures soon. The first couple of days were spent getting it insured, registered, etc. We filled it with water and propane and have been learning the systems. Still figuring out where we will store different items and adding some shelving. As Monte said, he and the Lady visited us...
