RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Increase head space on FWC Fleet

I would think that it would be more feasible to leave the ceiling part as and have new canvas installed that is 4" taller. You would also have to install new folding boards on each end. Another way to do it is trade up to a newer camper. FWC started building the top higher in 2004 I believe...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Who Made These Circles in the Sahara?

Catching up on WTW and this has been very interesting. Would love to be in camp with Foy and Tony just to hear the stories.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West We Have Fox Kits!

Oh Boy! Instead of heading to Grand Teton to see 399 and her cubs we can go to Fort Sagebrush to see the Kits! Packing the spotting scope! PaulT, that was funny. Frank, I remember the photos of them on your deck.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Adventures Begin

Looks like a good trip and a well designed trailer. That is a great idea to have a small campground at the manufacturer's location for customers to check things out and get any quick fixes.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Storage slider / slide and interior light cover replacements

When we had our 2004 Hawk I did not like the sliding doors. They either got bound up or made access to the whole storage compartment difficult. I removed the plastic tracks and made frames around the sliders, then attached those to the cabinet with hinges like a traditional cabinet door. Sorry...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Telemark Turns at Timberline

Donna and I are not skiers. No problems with the sport, just did not grow up with it and didn't pick it up as adults. That being said, we tried to read this thread but can't understand much of it. Tried Google translate but it did not help. What language are all of you using???

That was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing Patrick.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Finished my Lithium upgrade in my van.

Very impressive Bill. I like how well laid out the install is done. That is a lot of bending and kneeling for a new knee. The cabinet can wait a little bit. You want to make sure it heals well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wandering Baja, January 2022

Hah, we have an almost identical photo of the beach right before Agua Verde. Mark BC and I were there about 6 years ago. We found an overgrown road to the beach in the photo and spent two nights there. Great fishing and snorkeling by those islands.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camping Monterey and southward late February

I second Veterans' Memorial in Monterey, probably as a good starting point for your way south. Once we even met up with Frank when we stayed there. :) First learned about it when doing my SCUBA check out dives in Monterey many years ago. It is a city park in town but the park ranger lives on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West (not so) Fantastic Fans

x2. This is news to me. Are you sure it isn't a dampness thing? It is the PNW after all. Either way. I would see if the sensor is replaceable in case it has gone bad. Or check to see if you can wire it to bypass the sensor.

Well, that is a definite advantage in rigs like ours.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hot water tank drain valve

I am not a fan of PEX. A number of years ago the cold water handle on the faucet in our Hawk broke. The faucet had a hot water handle also but nothing was hooked up to it as we did not have a hot water heater. I thought, No problem, I will just run the water to the hot water handle. That is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Quartzfest

Craig, the thing that turns some of us off about quartzite is the number of rigs boondocking around there. We are fortunate to have so much space that we consider another vehicle in sight as crowded. Near Quartzite you may have several hundred vehicles in that amount of space. However, go a few...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winter Wanderland

It might be a bit before Ski can post. No power in his area and the power company is estimating another week before they can get crews in. With no power going to the cell towers there is no internet. They have a generator and propane so are safe and warm. I know that they got close to 4 feet of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ever think about Large Format

Somewhat off subject... My Father was in the title business. He also had a private pilot license and enjoyed photography. He used a Rolleiflex that you looked down into to take a photo. He combined all of these by taking aerial photos of properties he was handling. In order to look into the...
