verynice, I'm not sure "Tahoe National Forest" and "get away from people" are possible. Pretty area but gets a lot of use from Sacramento and Bay Area residents. Certainly by hiking to a lake like Glacier you will lose most of the people. But nearby campgrounds like Carr and Feely lakes will be...

Sounds like a fantastic trip. Visited Skagway Brewery a few years back. I usually don't care for beers that are flavored, but enjoyed the Silver Tip Ale.

Does doing something like this take a special camera or can most DSLRs do it? And is it multiple shots put together as a video or is it filmed as a video? I could do nothing as nice as these but it would be fun to experiment.

smlobx, Thanks for the report. We understand some of the wildlife is not present year round. Also some times of the year are better for snorkeling. So all seasons have advantages and disadvantages. What time of year did you go and what did you base your decision on?

We signed up a couple of years back but I got sick and we didn't make it. The fact that the location is only 13 miles from Russian River Brewery, home of Pliny, is too much for me to resist. We are signed up. :)
