    Anyone heading to Baja?

Yes trouble can find you down there, but my experience in 2017 was great. I have also flown down to cabo a few times, and no problems. That being said, i can understand folks being more comfortable in a group. w

Best all season tires for Fleet-Tacoma combo?

I drive bigger/heavier trucks, but the all around best 1 tire i have found for all conditions is the cooper st maxx. I have them siped and they work well enough in snow, ice, mud, sand and rock. Not the best at anything by no means, but the best all around. I have a hard time getting them in...

Pros and cons of permanent mounting.

Maybe a bit different setup, mine is bolted to my flatbed. Has been off the truck twice in 5 years. Mostly i just un-bolt it, put big pins in the holes to help with realignment and raise it a few inches to inspect and air out. w

Yellowstone Closed All Gates - Flooding, Mudslides

Casa, i know that there was a recent meeting in cooke city discussing keeping chief joseph open all year. A friend lives there and says it has been an ongoing battle for years. The closed stretch in the winter is about 8 miles, and runs through some serious avalanche terrain. i suspect that it...

Yellowstone Closed All Gates - Flooding, Mudslides

Being so close, (40 milesish) from west, and a nice drive to the north entrance, this is pretty disheartening. Was planning a trip throught gardner, through the lamar valley, beartooth pass, hellroaring and back down chief joseph to cody this weekend. Nope. I personally know a lot of people that...

Yellowstone Closed All Gates - Flooding, Mudslides

Crazy, i live in Big Sky and we have had rock/land slides. High water in Gallatin Canyon, bridges out in Paradise Valley and now all entrances closed. Plus, still raining and a winter storm watch for tonight. Nuts.

Hi Murban, I was in your shoes up until a month ago. The advice stated here is solid. Vic is an amazingly helpful guy. i was not wanting to do the work that i needed. KP, another member owns a company in Reno. I reached out to him, had my entire system redone and could not be more pleased. I...

Hi, Welcome to one of the best rabbit holes on the internet! ATC are awesome to work with, great guys. The weight will add up quick, a good friend was in a similar situation with his taco. time on the Dempster.

Hard to say without knowing what you like to do. We did it in 2019, and if i were to go back i would take 5-7 days. I would want to travel slower, and spend more time exploring the area. Because of weather, and the fact that a week earlier we had driven to TUK, we pushed a fair bit. Overall, i...

    "Ernie" got a little brother.

Have wanted another Jeep since i sold mine in '90. Not sure what i will do with it build wise. Thinking that it will be used more for day trips and quick over-nighters. Mainly, to be used where the bigger rig doesn't fit.

    Help me Understand Trasharoo bags

Try to minimize trash, we do have a trasaroo, mostly for coastal areas and the desert for recyclables. Don't like to smell the beer/wine soup after a few days. Trash goes into (usually) grocery bags, then these into a contractor bag. I would say i use our t-roo about half of our trips.
