I installed a fitting in my propane tank compartment, attached to camper connect hose. I use a hose , attach it to the fitting and then to the item that needs the propane, lantern, or stove. I purchased Mr. Heater brand hoses. They come in several lenghts.

You need to have the bed repaired and welded by a body shop. Then get some plates to mount under truck bed to prevent what happened. Also make sure you do not over tighten.

It's a good splatter shield if needed, we don't cook alot indoors, maybe fix coffee. I like with the cover closed, the flat cover is good for other uses, like making a cocktail.
