I installed two lights on the rear of the camper as well. Grounding to frame seemed to work ok, I have not had any issues since the install. I ran my ground from the lamps to one mounting screw of the lamps into the frame. A second wire is not needed for a ground.

Before I received my camper, I went to the rally at Shelter Cove, the"First Pig Roast", hosted by the FISHERMAN. It gave me a good look at the different campers, also was able to meet the members from the forum. It is worth your wild to come, all welcome !!

If you can use a tape measure and a drill, start drilling. The install is very easy. FWC has instructions they can email to you. Go for it !!

The notch is for the Chevy bed in the rear of the box, Chevy had to reinforce the box in this area to make it stronger, they are some rounded bottoms that extend into the floor area. Some people just add a piece of plywood, my friend had them cut out and welded in some flat plates. Poor design...

Drove to Truckee sunday, raining very hard over summit. Alot of snow at higher elevations, maybe 2-3 inches. This next week looks to be much warmer, should melt all the snow. Suggest to bring some warm clothes for the rally. It was 40 in Truckee at 1:00 PM.

The eyebolts are no big deal, if you have any questions, call FWC for measurements. The wiring is a no brainer, you have a set of plugs on the left side (driver's side) near the trailer hitch. The plugs have blank hard shells installed. If you contact your Ford dealer, they have a wiring harness...

I have been using a bed mat on my F150, worked well. Now have installed my hawk in my new F250 with a bed mat. They seem to work well. Keep the camper from shifting, also add some insulation to bottom of camper. They also cost less than a spray in bed liner. I had a option to order my new truck...

If you use this product to glue panels to roof, suggest to leave a gap or two for water condensation drainage. Just a thought.

When was the last time you waxed your camper? And what do you use. I just removed my Hawk from the F150 and getting ready for the new rig to be here in a week or so. I have been using NuFinish wax, brings back luster and shine to siding after being exposed to what ever Mother Nature throws at...

Glad to hear u going well, my mother has a concern as well with skin cancer. I know what u are going thru. Have a positive attitude and all will be well. Jim As we age the going gets tough at times, we just have to look forward to the next camping trip and enjoy as much as we can !!

HAVING THE CAMPER LEVEL IS KEY. ALSO AS MENTIONED BY OTHERS THE BURNER COULD HAVE A ISSUE WITH THE FRIG RUNNING ON PROPANE. YOU MAY ALSO CHECK THE AREA ABOVE THE GAS PILOT AND MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAR. SPIDERS CAN CAUSE A CONCERN IN THERE. I HOPE YOU GET IT GOIN.

The granite area above the lake is nice. Also if you drive down the road that takes you to BOWMAN LAKE AREA has some nice camping spots as well. Hopefully we will have weather that will allow people to check out the area. Have fun up there Andy.
