RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dispersed Camping near Rocky Mountain National Park

Thanks Doug. I haven't used that one. We have used AllStays with some success. I'll check it out. I'm hoping to get some first hand suggestions for camping and sights to see from the well-traveled folks here also.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dispersed Camping near Rocky Mountain National Park

Hi All. We will be visiting family in Denver next week. We want to take the scenic route back to Minnesota the week following (June 24-30). We would like to see Rocky Mountain National Park and some mountain scenery. All the campgrounds in RMNP are booked already. I would like some suggestions...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Summertime!

We've been having simply glorious weather here- 70s and sun- after a very wet spring. Sure sign of summer here- the camper is on the truck as of today. Better late than never I say. Heading out for the first trip this coming week.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bantam trailer

Yes, I have a piece of plywood finished with porch and deck stain in the trailer to protect the floor. I have been considering a rubber mat. I looked at stall mats but they are really heavy- like 100 pounds! There are lighter alternatives but I haven't popped for one yet. I also installed D...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bantam trailer

Thanks Sage, Happyjax and CougarCouple for the nice comments. Yeah, I guess left hand threads were around on some cars until the early 70s. I'm sure I remember having one or two- just can't remember which ones, haha. Thanks for the comment Firemen7. I have to admit to some trepidation to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bantam trailer

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I decided this was a truck accessory of sorts so here it is. If the moderators want to put it somewhere else, fine by me. I acquired this trailer off of Craigslist last summer. It has been a project off and on since then. i finally pretty much finished it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire pressure: BFG K02 ‘18 Tacoma w/ Fleet flatbed camper

Our camper is on the truck about half the year (stored during the winter). Most of the miles are on pavement with the camper on the truck. I don't drive the truck much during the winter.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire pressure: BFG K02 ‘18 Tacoma w/ Fleet flatbed camper

Toyota determined the 46 psi. Most Tacomas have P-rated tires from the factory but some were delivered with LT tires. The pressures on the OEM door stickers were too low for the LT tires. As a result, Toyota issued a TSB regarding running LT tires on the Tacoma. They issued the new stickers to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another Turnbuckle Question, or Two

We do the half turn past hand tight (use a stubby screwdriver) and use lock nuts. This has worked well for us- no issues with loosening.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ATC Bobcat after one year...

Yes, quite a bit of info on tacomaworld.com. The class suit was settled in 2016 which gave 12 years from date of first service of the vehicle to file a claim. For a 2005 that would be 2017. You are probably out of luck but it is worth trying. Good luck.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT or Rotopax for ATC Build

I saw a write-up somewhere of the use of a super-siphon with the Scepter cans. Put a valve on the end of the hose. Once the siphon is started you're good to go. Looked like a good simple solution.

Could happen. I'd be content with a time-lapse viewed from a distance. :) I've got family in the Bay area and keep hoping the big changes are still well in the future.

We also have 2 jerry can racks on our camper. We use the Scepter brand military cans and spout which avoids the problems of the carb compliant spouts. As Tuff Guy said, one advantage is that the racks can be used for both fuel or water (I guess this is true for Rotopax also). We also use them to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West It is Spring, Yes!

Hey, even we might see 70° on Saturday. It is great to see the long winter coming to an end. Tomorrow should be the first day in quite a while that I won't see snow and ice lurking on the north side of things.

For you geology fans, a fascinating article about a new (old) fault on the Nevada border. Those of you who frequent US Route 395 may find it interesting particularly interesting. https://www.wired.com/story/walker-lane-move-over-san-andreas-fault/?mbid=synd_digg
