Thanks Happjax. I had read something similar but you made it simple. Question is now, how long of an exposure is needed.

Fold down step sheared in half: VERY dangerous

Thats a good thing. ... but if it's a casting flaw or the corrosion started from within, it will be hard to detect prior to.

Fold down step sheared in half: VERY dangerous

I doubt we ever get the underlying facts of this event.

Any advice for stacking filters for those who waited too long to buy a legit eclipse filter? ... besides "Don't". I'm thinking a Lee Big blocker (10 stop) stacked along with a ND 16 or 32 might be safe and interesting.

    Fiberglass exterior reviews needed

Well, surfboards are MUCH thinner in construction, taking much more abuse and we are still riding them (without them being water logged) built in the '60s .... so I can't see where longevity would even be considered.

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

Point taken, Power Wagon ... my thinking is, just because its there, that doesn't mean I have to use it or it's in the way. I wont install it if it hinders anything else. Through this conversation alone, I found better solutions coupled with what some of you guys woke me up to. Such as these...

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

I don't fully understand how a inverter works ... but if my assumptions are anywhere close to being accurate, I just want it for when the two burner propane stove is maxed out on usage space ... and when I don't want to get out and start the generator but need more heating/cooking options. To...

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

That's a sweet ^^^ mod that I will definitely implement! Thanks These projects keep costing me $$ if not adding up on the list.

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

Thats exactly what I need ... and then a inverter for a cooktop and toaster later on. I have 110 outlet in the back right corner for the AC that FWC put in. That would probably be better than running conduit from fridge area.

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone. Longhorn, I will look at that closely. If there isn't a problem running a hidden power cord from said spot to preferred cabinet, I'll do just that. I plan on putting a 2000 watt converter in eventually. Maybe I should just wait until I do so? The...

Adding a 110 volt outlet inside a FWC Hawk

Question: Can somebody explain the wiring process or show an example of an additional 110v outlet coming from the dual batteries .... or whatever power source is best? I know nothing about it but I'd like to install one in the tall skinny cabinet on right side of the side dinette model (next...

Has to be the front or rear panels. Check to see if they are bent. Cant imagine how that happened.

Overlooked the thermal pack question. I keep mine on 24/7 all year long. Why wouldn't everyone? It works. It blocks out a lot of light when you want to sleep late also. Don't let it touch anything really hot! It melts quicker than you can curse.

Thanks, Slus. Stokeme .... If I were to do it again, I would skip on the little rectangle amber porch lights on each side. They might come in handy in rare events of excessive bugs but I wouldn't spend much time outside if that were the case. I highly recommend the lights underneath the...

    Fiberglass exterior reviews needed

Love my fiberglass siding! No issues with fiberglass whatsoever. None! I keep it garaged because of all of the exterior plastic parts being sensitive to the sun over time. I'd suggest everyone else do the same if they plan on keeping their camper more than 10 years. I would imagine all of the...
