I camped in loop D with my FWC Eagle and Tacoma and nobody said anything.

    HAWK SOLAR CONNECTION

Make sure there is a solar controller in your system somewhere, either installed in the camper or on your portable panel.

    truck/camper height

My 2015 Taco with 2014 Eagle is about 7' high to the top with an OME lift. Add the hight of anything on the roof like vents, rack, solar etc. Charlie Sent from my iPhone using Wander The West

    Replacement propane door latch

I do hope none of you with locking (or unlocking for that matter) propane doors ever get in a wreck. The rescue people will open your propane door and if it's locked the results won't be pretty. I'll keep looking around for the same type I already have. ;)

    Replacement propane door latch

Thanks. I know there are plenty of options, I was just asking if anyone knew which one FWC uses. I'm sure I can find something and make it work.

    Replacement propane door latch

I always turn off my propane when traveling as well, and having been in a rollover accident towing an offroad trailer with two propane bottles made me even more aware of that.

    The Landscape Photography Thread

Been playing around with various post processing techniques (was going to put this in the PP thread but it's a bit dormant). On this image I first processed it in LR as usual, the used Google/Nik Viveza 2 to tighten up the detail, then Topaz Texture Effects 2 to jazz up the color a bit, then...

    Replacement propane door latch

Off topic, but it would be easy enough to install some sort of cable lock to secure your propane tanks and still allow emergency personnel to access them quickly.

    Replacement propane door latch

Not sure it's legal everywhere to have a locking propane compartment on a vehicle, though. Charlie Sent from my iPad using Wander The West

    Replacement propane door latch

I understand I could just replace the o ring but wanted to find a source for the entire latch. It would be easier to replace the whole thing rather than take the current one out, disassemble it, and then put it back in. If I was looking for a project I'd do it that way but I'm not. The latch...

    Replacement propane door latch

I don't need a new door, just a non locking latch. I wish I was closer to Bend than I am. ;)

    Replacement propane door latch

The little rubber O ring in the latch on the propane compartment of my Eagle split and now the latch will still close but the door is a little loose. I emailed FWC to see if I could get the mfgr and part # of the latch a few weeks ago but never got a reply. Has anyone had to replace theirs? And...

    'no destination' winter travels

Sounds like a grand adventure. Big Bend might be worth a swing by and I'm sure you'd get a kick out of nearby Terlingua. Donna and I will be camping on Cape San Blas the weekend of Jan 21 and anytime you get within a few hundred miles of Atlanta let me know and maybe we could meet up.

    Power inverters

I have a GoPower 1500w mounted under my sink. I mostly only use it for a toaster, though, and to run the battery charger for my Nikon D4s. If I could figure out a place to stow a small microwave I'd use it for that too since I'm mostly too lazy to cook real food when I'm by myself.

    Keep camper clean?

I use a cut down industrial mat from Home Depot in my Eagle and just pull it out and wash it with a hose when it get;s too dirty to sweep.

    Yakima Tracks on FWC

I've used my racks offroad albeit not with super heavy loads. That said, I expect it's mostly lawyer talk. If you read the fine print on almost every vehicle accessory I expect you'll find the same language.
