I did that on my install but have yet to use it. Hose it still coiled up and zip tied. Haven't used the legs I bought either. But good to know I can if i want ;)

Is this a shell model? Sounds like it could be a good deal but some more info would help.

I'm probably using something similar, an old Yakima Get-A-Way, it works great but we don't use it all that often. Don't think there would be any issues off road as long as you take it a little easier.

I fit by bike in my non-shell FWC regularly. Should be plenty of room for two in a shell.
