    DRD4-7R

I am wondering about the implications. I have noticed that in many cases it is only one person in a couple that does most of the wandering. I suspect that in some situations the wandering gene is a source of some tension when one half of the couple has it and the other does not. Should we be...

    DRD4-7R

Interesting. I must have it, because I am ready for my next travels as soon as I am home and cleaned up from my last trip. At least now I can tell people that it is the "fault" of DRD4. ;)

    Just ordered a new Fleet

For one thing, it looks like there is quite a bit more cabinetry, which would impact the cost. Inside and outside shower also. Feels like there are a couple other special features, but I can not think of them off the top of my head.

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

Any thoughts on tire repair kits like these two? http://www.extremeoutback.com/product/27/Ultimate+Puncture+Repair+Kit.html http://store.arbusa.com/ARB-Speedy-Seal-Tire-Repair-Kit-10000010-P3580C17.aspx I personally have the ARB, but have seen better reviews of the ExtremeOutback. At twice...

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

Hadley, at high daytime AC rates it works to less than $3 per 100 miles. At night rates are 1/2 that and if you're doing your own solar pretty much free. If you test drive one of these, as I have, it will blow your mind. Electricity is the future, there is no doubt. Wow, that is amazing. It...

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

To say nothing of the actual total energy requirement to run an electric. The efficiency of the entire system, including all the energy losses of the electric generation and long distance transmission is not wonderful. That's what needs to be talked about, not the end use plugin. That is what...

GPS for your iPad - Garmin GLO

The wi-fi only iPad doesn't have GPS. The 3G & cellular iPad does kind of. Also GPS by definition is the U.S. system only, 24 satellites. The GLONASS system has another 21. The 3G & cellular iPad don't use true GPS but Assisted GPS which needs a cellular connection to increase accuracy and...

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

Overland Hadley, If you have a reasonable size photo of that compressor, would you be kind enough to post it? The photo on the website is literally postage-stamp size. Thanks. Bill Sure, I will pull it out this weekend and take some photos.

GPS for your iPad - Garmin GLO

I am a total newbe when it comes to GPS for iPad, but I do hope to get an iPad at some point. How does this work differently than the GPS that is in the iPad? What maps does this system use? Thanks. Sorry for questions from the 90's.

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

I never go to a pressure lower than I'm willing to drive out on. That is my safety measure, the compressor is a convenience. That is good reasoning.

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

Here is a place to start. http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=103 You will not regret buying a good air compressor. I went with an ExpeditionAire from Extremeaire. I liked the fact that it has two air compressors working together. One goes bad I still have one going.

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

I've heard some go down as low as 15 pounds but that seems pretty low to me. Saw somebody with a Suzuki that ran 0psi! They did not even have valve cores in. Like you said it all depends on the rig.

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

So airing down for other than mud or sand is really more of comfort issue? Well, there might be an argument that airing down a little over sharp rocks will help your tires. But I am not sure how that argument would go. In off road racing you would adjust the tire pressure to the conditions...

    Stupid question: Airing down tires

When your kidneys hurt and your teeth rattle in your head So much depends on your individual rig and the tires you have. I'm not a hard core off-roader, so I don't have to air down all that often. When the Forest Service Roads I drive get rocky and unmaintained, the rig tells me to air down...
