    Critique my checklist ...

Looking at your list made me think of trying to find Waldo. :) There are a few things I carry I didn't see on your list: insect repellent. handful of miscellaneous bungee cords. small collapsible wash basin. clothes pins.

    Popping in to say hello!

So nice to hear that all is well with you. You popped into my head a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering how you were doing. Then I saw the post here asking about you. Kind of a weird coincidence. Take care and I hope you get a new camper soon. And best wishes with your new career...

'Warm(er)' boondocking/'mild' 4WD roads and fun areas in the SW?

Another idea is to visit the area around St. George, Utah. It might not have as many RV snowbirds as AZ. Also know that the Navajo Nation is in Stay At Home mode with their roads (not county and state roads) closed to visitors.

    Fall 2020

Thanks. This was nice to read on a rainy, windy, and all around yucky day outside. Many on the areas you went to, I have been to and I was able to visualize your trip. Yet you also introduced me to new things to see in the areas. It makes me want to go back.

    Death Valley Suggestions

I too am planning a trip to Death Valley. Though, my trip will be in sometime in Feb/March. Two of my good resources are the Ski3pin blog posts and the Bird and Hiking web site. https://birdandhike.com/Areas/DEVA_Area/_DEVA_toc.htm Thanks for the flicker link. The pictures are a joy to...

Atwood Hydro Flame 8516-IV Furnace Repair

Thanks for posting this information. I have been having intermittent problems with my 15 year old heater starting. My backup plan for heat was to purchase a Mr Buddy heater. Unfortunately I had to use Mr Buddy a few times on my trip to Montana. You have given me a place to stay looking for...

How do you all organize your storage?

I'm not sure of your layout since I don't have an Alaskan. I have a small trailer. But I stuff two sofa throw pillows (about 8" diameter and 18" long) into my cabinets that have my can goods, dishes, etc. while I am moving. That works for me.

Wow, a hidden tax in Colorado

My two cents. I don't mind paying fees but I don't like the maze of trying to figure out what fee is required where and potentially ending up at a site and not having the right pass. And there is the challenge of trying to figure out where dispersed camping is not allowed. Or where sites are...

First Post - Going to Utah/Arizona in October

Here are some places you can stay on the way. I've stayed at them and found them all relaxing and peaceful which is appreciated after spending a full day driving. And later October you won't need a reservation (I think). I add the "I think" because I keep hearing how the number of campers is...

First Post - Going to Utah/Arizona in October
