Over a beautiful summer weekend in June we took the Tacoma and Four Wheel Camper up the Poudre Canyon for some family camping time. With a late start on Saturday it took us a few attempts to find a suitable campsite but in the end, we were fortunate to get the last spot for the night at the...
I am on the north side of town. Very lucky to have no noticeable (new) damage. Granted my 30-year-old roof looks like it has seen hail once or twice before. Sorry about your rig, hope the process goes smoothly.
Another truck camper build day here in Colorado. Wanted to show a quick project that really made the camper feel more complete: the floor! I also put in some trim around the floor and the door. Lastly, the countertop from a few weeks ago ended up giving me some trouble :( I had used the wrong...
Mysteryz,
I've got two of the old school tripod jacks. Like these but in much worse condition.

However, they are functional. I am in Boulder if you get no other bites. PM me.
Thanks for mentioning me.
JohnnyJ, check out my build thread on here http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/11945-84-fleet-09-tacoma-project/
The first post has a table of contents and my youtube channel has all the more recent projects. Your scout looks really cool, best of luck with it...
A question I may have asked before but I'll still did not take action on.
I am actually having a minor water issue. In rains I will get some water in on my galley side. It is not coming in from the roof as the insulation is never wet, just on the walls and galley. Its not too bad but I know...
Just chiming in here now. Your project looks great! Glad you came across my videos. Do let me know if you have any more questions. Your timeline is way faster than mine. Like 10X faster :) But get after it!!!
Front and rear window sound great. We had played with the idea before but ended up not...
I am pretty happy with the Mr. Buddy Big Buddy for my camper. I can get it up to 70 in the camper in the winter months. There is some condensation, but nothing I can't deal with.
Having the propane system plumped with neat hoses has really made the camper more functional inside. I made a video...
When I did mine I fully popped my roof up (both sides) and used some bungees and a piece of wood clamped to the roof but extending to the edge of my garage for support. It was pretty jerry-rigged but surprisingly sturdy for the install.
You will be amazed at how stable the roof is once the...
Ohh, got ya. Sorry misunderstood the questions.
Yes I did what shell did. Wrap the headliner over the aluminum tubing. Here in this phot you can see the headlinear trimmed but not yet folded over and glued down. Then it was the canvas under that and finally the aluminum roof wrapped over...
I was scared too! You've got this!!!
Are you talking at the top (roof) or the bottom (camper frame)? If you check the video at 8:15
https://youtu.be/YumX0jrEBQg?list=PLtjO8brHhA52xWaeu4z1lcdbIcueVNiJG&t=497
you see me cutting the bottom of the canvas after I tucked the canvas under the metal...
hi team.
Quick question I was hoping someone might have the answer for. When installing the sink and faucet do I just bolt the metal pieces to the counter, or should I used some sort of sealant under and/or around the metal lips? I have that butyl tape from the windows. What has worked or not...
The Galley!!
it had a been a long time coming and it is far from done. But having the counter top is pretty awesome! Check the video:
I swear the next camper I build is going to go so much faster :)
