East of the Mississippi FWC owners chime in

I've only ever seen one other FWC in the southeast in Alabama on my way to Louisiana last Xmas. If they go up for sale on CL in the east, they sell fast.

    Lightweight Ladders for Camper-Roof Access

I thought about it a bit more. I'd rather have the taller extended 10-12' ones, in case I need to get to the top while it's in full up position. I can still use the ladder when the pop up is down without fully extending the ladder. MarkBC 's picture sold me on that. Thanks

    Lightweight Ladders for Camper-Roof Access

There's a guy on CL who's selling a telesteps double sided 6' ladder for $80. My question is, is it tall enough and worth $80?

Do you travel with mechanical jacks on or off?

I've seen in a number of pictures where people are leaving the two rear jacks on. I'm assuming that's for when the truck is parked and helps with weight distribution or support?? Otherwise why only have two attached?

Where do you park your camper?

Howdy Matt, I'll be keeping mine in the barn when it's not on the truck. I realize he can't just build a barn. When was the last time a barn existed in Boston?

Vehicle Lift, how high can you go carrying a camper?

    I just went from a Cooper Discoverer AT/3 235/70/R17 to a Cooper Discoverer AT/3 275/70/R17 E. I didn't really go much higher, but maybe an 1 1/2" difference.

Vehicle Lift, how high can you go carrying a camper?

I'm 6'9" tall, so getting in and out should be relatively easy except for that short looking door.

Vehicle Lift, how high can you go carrying a camper?

I may do a 2-3" lift. That's all I really want. I bought new tires yesterday. I was gonna go with 32" but the local tire dealer said they didn't make the ones I wanted in an E rating, so he sold me the ones he had in stock which were 1/2 " shorter. Later that day when I got home I found out he...

    FWC Off the Book Options

You can also have a slide out King in a Hawk too, if you purchase the flush mounted appliances. They also are leaving a square hole large enough for me to slide my Engel 45 fridge into and a hinged countertop with underneath storage, in the drivers side rear corner. They are including the...

    Ancient archaeology of WTW

I thought you were gonna talk about archaeology in the west. I was employed by the Museum Of The Rockies at Montana State for a time working on archaeological digs in Yellowstone back in 1995. I've been employed or have volunteered in said practices on and off for many years in the southeast and...

    Campers and Bears

Do you store your food in bear boxes when available? If not do you feel comfortable keeping your food in the camper while in bear country? Obviously a hungry bear will get into anything if it can, I'm just wondering what your thoughts are? Thanks Dan

    Lightweight Ladders for Camper-Roof Access

How often do you need to access the roof while on trips? I've often been heard saying" we don't need no stinking ladders" only because I'm so tall.
