    Water seepage

I live in Humboldt County and camp in the rain on a regular basis. I do experience condensation in the camper on occasion but nothing like you are describing. I just wipe the sides down...run the heater and all is good. Cort

    NW-California Quake

It was a nice long roller here in Arcata. My brother (geologist) and I were at lunch and really enjoyed it......you could tell all the east coast transplants immediately....they looked like deer do in the headlights. very little up and down motion....A lot of side to side motion. What really...

    Truck Camper Insurance?

Mine is part of my auto insurance policy but is considered a separate unit....ie not a "rider" on my truck insurance. Another interesting thing is that I have overlap with my home owners insurance. If the camper is off the truck and on the property home owners insurance will cover loss. If it...

    Truck Camper Insurance?

I have my camper insured when its on and off the truck. The cost is minor and well worth the piece of mind. It was as simple as calling the insurance company, sending them a few pictures, and providing the name of the manufacturer and the serial number of the camper. Cort

How to Remove Snow from Roof While Camping

For those of you who have an awning and still actually have the pole that came with it.....just add a dust pan and some duct tape and there you have it.....and improvised snow shovel. Trust me it works. It works so well that I never actually bothered to buy anything else. Now when I have to...

    NW California Rivers trip

Hey Craig thats my neck of the woods. We will be here in McKinleyville (right next door to Arcata) for Christmas so we should get together and have a beer. The trip up the Salmon will be real nice assuming we don't get a really low snow. There are lots of side trips to do up there and lots to...

    The New Steed

I am a huge fan of narrow and tall. For most of what we do out there that's the way to go.....well at least in my opinion. I have heard some folks talk about how tall narrow tires don't air down well but that's just not the case from what I have seen. for most common tires....you get more...

    The New Steed

Well I drove them in some thunderstorms in Montana and Idaho this summer and I have been driving them in the rain for the last few weeks and they seem fine. I had the camper on so that helps. They wander more than an AT tread does on dry pavement but so far they seem to hydroplane less in...
