    Factory Rear Lights Question

Yes. I have an ARB backup light on the rig now, and I am trying to decide if I want a cab controlled light for backing up, or a camper controlled lights. I have had the same thoughts (wanting to be able to control the rear floods from the cab). It really should not be that hard to make that...

Fall colors on the Eastern Sierra

You know...it kinda sounds like a group for Amish amputees... to fricken funny....and so true To stick my neck out there....Last time I checked a firearm was an inanimate object and it takes someone behind it to decide how it will be used. Blaming firearms for deaths is like blaming...

How to carry second spare tire?

Ever go higher than 35psi with the MV50? Is that your standard highway/pavement pressure? My tires are at about 60psi. I regularly go from 15 to 50 in the rears and from 15 or a bit lower to 40 in the fronts

How to carry second spare tire?

Agreed...I have used that compressor in 105F and aired up all four and it never failed.....It got pretty dam hot but it never failed. The first time I did that I remember grabbing the quick connect on the compressor end when I was done to bleed the air and Sh.....t it left a brand on my thumb...

    Outside Storm Flaps

I like what I see and read about the ATC camper, but the storm flaps over the windows on the otuside concerns me, as they seem difficult to close, although I haven't read many complaints. Any thoughts? Can you leave them rolled up when you close the top? If so, then I imagine the clear cover on...

Help me choose a functional budget truck.

Gene, I think you drank the dodge cool aid :D. I have a first gen Taco that has 180,000 miles on it...nearly all of them carrying some type weight (usually between 800 and 1,400 lbs). I have taken that truck everywhere and have never had an axle break, never smoked my brakes, and have not...

    Tire Pressure

Well I kinda cheated... I have an ARB locker in the rear and I used it... a lot! :) We were ok on gas by Elephant Hill. We had filled up down at Hite Marina, then rode up to Natural Bridges and over Beef Basin until we got into the Needles. From there we rode up through Lockhart Basin &...

Help me choose a functional budget truck.

Oh come on you can't honestly use that video to compare a dodge to a Tacoma...I will put my Tacoma up against a dodge any old day and guarantee you the results will not look like that video. the Tacoma does not appear to be in low 4 and the line on the obstacle was way off. Gene I assume that...

    Tire Pressure

I run E rated tires as well and I agree with what others have said. I air down to as low as 15-lbs if I am on very rough road. When I first started doing this I got out a lot in different types of terrain to look at the tires to see what was going on. Here is what I found. On roads that are...

    XV-JP overhaul from expo

This thread is worth reading all the way through: http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51254 The main point is the AWESOME customization this guy did on the Earthroamer XV-JP. The secondary point is - It's pretty hard to believe how many serious shortcomings the 100k+ Earthroamer...

Hey Cort, I am a die hard Angels fan. This was a bad year for the Halos, but whenever I'm feeling particularly low, I just replay my 2002 World Series DVD to get cheered up. I'm sure all Giant fans remember Game 6 of that series! BTW, it was good to finally meet you at the "pork rally" a few...
