    Deaver Springs

Cort, thanks so much for your update. I've talked with a spring shop down in the Sacramento area and I've talked with Jeff at Deaver. The shop in Sacramento recommends rearching my stock springs and adding another bottom overload making a total 5 leaf pack. Jeff is recommending a custom 10 leaf...

    Deaver Springs

I am so glad that I decided to put the Deaver springs on. As of this point I have no complaints. With the camper on I could not be happier with the way the suspension has worked out. The truck is solid and carries the load very well. I also use this truck as my daily driver when the camper...

My thoughts on Overland Journals FWC article

I have actually done, and been doing for over 30 years, a lot of severe explorations that the OJ alludes to. My gear looks a lot different than what OJ is flogging. I carry a minimum of kitchen, fridge and $200 pocket knives,...... In fact in my Africa travels, I simply didn't even have an...

Hello fellow WTW'sters. Below is a link for the official spring flow release schedule on the Trinity River in Northern California. For those of you planning on travelling 299 or camping along the Trinity River below Lewiston Dam you should be aware of the increased flows and how it may impact...

    Less War. More Parks.

DLN I am glad to know that my comments were taken as constructive and not an attack. I certainly was trying to be constructive but you know how things can be hard to read on the internet. Maybe we need a political expression forum that is separate from the advocacy forum? Cort

    Less War. More Parks.

I agree about the public servants. But this is an opportunity to come together on the issue and talk it out rather than get upset. Maybe thats what we need to do - politics over beers and a campfire :) How about dropping the politics and advocating for a common cause over beers...politics will...

    Less War. More Parks.

I feel that an appropriate role of this website is in advocacy. I had planned that years ago but tip toed around the subject so as not to offend anyone. However, it seems there is an appropriate time for everything and I feel that now is the time step up and do our parts. If anyone doesn't like...

    Idaho and Montana July 2011

Well I finally got my copy of Idaho Back Roads and so far it looks pretty good. It is a bit different than the other back roads books that I own. It is a bit more artful and have some extremely good pictures in it. So far it is doing what I hoped....giving me general descriptions of...

    Idaho and Montana July 2011

Cort - I endorse Stew's suggested route -- it's all over my favorite area in Oregon (I just got home from there). A variation I might suggest is to continue east on 140 at Adel (instead of going north) to Denio Jct., and then head north on 205 at Denio Junction up to Fields, Oregon -- stop at...
