    Removing FWC Furnace

I removed the furnace in my '12 Eagle. I removed the outside exhaust/ vent garnish and pulled out the outer box for the cool air vent. Removed the front cover inside. Disconnect the gas line from the furnace from the front. (Gas is off and hose disconnected right!) A few sheet metal screws...

Fan-tastic Fantastic Fan Customer Service (not good)

Yep just called and ordered 2 new smoke covers for my vents. I asked about ordering a new Atwood LP/Co detector while on line and was basically blown off on that. Told to have it checked by a dealer. I ordered it online.

Shade House / Screen House recommendations please

We've had our old screen house since the early 80's. It's seen several bad storms and a bit of use and has held up fine for what was a cheapy when bought. But it's getting old and worn out. On our annual beach trip we found ourselves tying tarps to one side or another to keep the early morning...

    anyone using the Cancooker?

We used the rack. Red skins cut in 2 or 3 large pieces on the rack. Little tiny carrots on top after seasoning each layer. Then covered the top with Italian seasoning. A lot of the little carrots fell through the rack but wasn't an issue. Just had to remove one side of the rack to spoon them...

Looking for a cooler? Grizzley 40qt for $239!

I picked up one of these the other day. The local Wally world finally had one on the shelf. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-26-Quart-High-Performance-Cooler-Grey/49229405 I prefer to buy Made in USA. I was holding out for an Orca but at less than 1/2 the price I bought this. Now that I...

    anyone using the Cancooker?

Finally tried the Can Cooker last night. Made steaks on the grill and cooked potatoes and carrots in the Can Cooker. They turned out great in about 30 minutes.

Badly aBused Batteries Bounce Back -- BUENO!

Sounds great. Sometimes batteries can surprise us with the abuse they can put up with. It's amazing that most car batteries last as long as they do.

    Random FWC Photos

I understand. Just poking a little fun at the closeness. Based on how many folks here try hard to avoid campgrounds. Here in the east a lot of "campgrounds" are just parking lots for RV's. No worries. I might even try to make Expo East myself this year.

Nice pic! Maybe just a little too much togetherness for me. Kinda Wander the RV park! Ha Ha.

Lesson Learned with Use of the TF-51 Truckfridge

Thanks for checking in! Actually most of us have the chest type models of Truck Fridge. I've been very happy so far with my fridge. The couple of times I've called you folks I got answers and a spare power cord with polite and prompt service!

I bit the bullet and ordered the Eureka Northern Breeze 12x12 in blue.

Lesson Learned with Use of the TF-51 Truckfridge

When I 1st installed mine I got the E1 code using the highest voltage setting and the lighter plug connector. The lighter plug couldn't provide the voltage spike to start the compressor in this setting with the crappy lighter plug. A switch to the middle voltage setting solved this temporarily...

Lesson Learned with Use of the TF-51 Truckfridge

I can make this easy. Per my Trimetric monitor. ECO= 2.5 amp draw MAX= 4.5-5 amp draw. In my experience in MAX mode it stays closer to set temp. Very close. In ECO mode it seems to allow a few more degrees of swing in the temp. Not a lot just a couple each way. I have occasionally used MAX...

    anyone using the Cancooker?

My Companion came in. Seems very nice. I also found that I had one of those metal steamer things that folds out like flower petals that fits it well. I'm going to try that for some rice and shrimp soon.

    Bush winch?

These things have been around for years in one form or another. I remember ads in the 4x4 mags back in the 70's. They work but so does a big "Come-along" if you need something that can be stored. I'll personally take a real winch. Mine works in any 2" receiver that has the wiring near to run it.

    Quiet

I had the camper out for a couple of days with a friend. We had a similar conversation. I have a nice log home in a nice spot with some land. Now that I'm retired I can spend days at a time without ever leaving. In this area it's often hard to find a nicer, quieter place to camp nearby than my...

    LP/CO sensor faulty?

I think my CO/LP detector is dying. It went of again in the driveway just after pulling in and opening the camper. Light says it's the CO side alarming. Camper was wide open. Not much to cause a CO problem.

    Front mount receiver hitch

I'll just throw this out there. On my 1st gen Tundra a bike rack up front will obscure vision and lights. I carry my bicycles on the rear and then when I park I moved them to the front and install the rear step. Nice way to keep the bikes locked and with the vehicle when parked and using the camper.

    LIft Panel Stress Relief.................

As long as the new supports are strong enough to support the roof I don't see an issue. I intended to use some small wood maybe 1x2's. Glue Velcro on the bottom and a small strap with Velcro near the top to flip up and grab the Velcro for the Arctic pak. No way the supports can just get knocked...

    LIft Panel Stress Relief.................

Nice I've been thinking of cutting some pieces of furring strip to make some safeties! Uprights like you have for just in case. Maybe some velcro on the ends. The snap came unsnapped on my rear panel last week while I was lifting the front. Nothing came down but it woke me up.

    Campfire permit time

Thanks! New news for me in the east. I looked and couldn't find the fee. Just assumed there was one. So used to foolish excuses for fees and taxes here that I just assumed this was another especially after reading about portable stoves. Around here about the only fire permits are for backyard...

    LP/CO sensor faulty?

My CO detector went off yesterday afternoon for the 1st time since I've had the camper. The top was down but the awning window and a roof vent were open as was the back door. I have a bunch of hybrid Holly trees around my driveway. They are blooming like crazy. The sweet smell and pollen can...
