RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Cost Compared to ATC

ATC is building quality campers. ATC is building a proven design that works. Comparing ATC's quality product to Wal-Mart furniture or Harbor Freight tools is not accurate or helpful. I have a 2002 FWC (and like it very much), and I have had minor repairs done by both FWC and ATC. The work...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle or Hawk for 02 Tundra?

Thanks for all the helpful insights. The decision making has just gotten a little murkier because the Eagle is now available with the extended cabover bed! So, the Eagle can now have the thick mattress and less impact on the cook area when the bed is deployed. To me the biggest remaining...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle or Hawk for 02 Tundra?

If you had a 2002 Toyota Tundra with 45,000 miles and were buying a new Four Wheel Camper would you buy an Eagle or a Hawk (or even a Kestrel)? Due to storage issues, I plan to leave the camper on the truck almost full time. My inclination is to go small (Eagle) since it will be on the truck...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Heater or no heater?

Excellent work. I think you've given me ample ammo to convince my wife (and myself) that the heater is essential. :D Kestrel - is the FWC code for a Hawk chopped two inches to fit a 1st generation Tundra.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Tundra suspension upgrade

Brett - I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that the Toyota TRD Bilsteins are actually softer than the standard Toyota shocks - and much softer than the aftermarket Bilsteins. I think if you do a search on one of the Toyota truck sites you'll find this is the case. - Rube

What's the width on the Bobcat? Thanks.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Heater or no heater?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Kestrel shell for my Tundra and the last real debate is the heater. When you add the separate battery it's a big dollar item. My wife doesn't see the need (but then she doesn't hunt elk in Colorado). For those of you with the heater, how often do you...
