RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Northstars

I would say the reason you don't see many for sale is because the Northstar owners are very satisfied with their campers and feel there is no need to sell or "upgrade." I know I am and their customer support is phenominal! No, I don't work for the company :-). I also feel the quality of the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Dirty Door

What about carrying a 1 or 2 gallon sprayer (like those for fertilizer or pesticides that pump up for pressure) filled with water to clean the back door?

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Air deflector

I used ideas gathered from this forum. Instead of using vinyl fence posts, I went with the horizontal (split-rail) piece. I thought this might be a little less weight. My only concern was how sturdy it would be at highway speeds. As it turned out, I've had no problems with vibration, flexing or...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Quick removal camper jacks?

Thanks for the replies. "Thankfully I have not had to do this but if I do, I would use the camper jacks along with the OEM bottle jack to change a tire." I just wanted reinstate from my previous post that I would use, if needed, the camper jacks ALONG WITH the OEM bottle jack, not the camper...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Quick removal camper jacks?

Off the subject a bit, but after removing the jacks, how do you lift the truck in the event you need to change a tire on the road? Thankfully I have not had to do this but if I do, I would use the camper jacks along with the OEM bottle jack to change a tire. I have not tried the OEM bottle jack...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Custom Phoenix Pop Up - Toyota Tacoma

    B. Eagle Very nice rig you have. You mentioned taking the jacks off the camper and getting better mileage. Do you think this is due more from decreased wind drag or weight, or 50/50 the combination of both? Also, when you (or anyone else chime in) remove the jacks, how do you lift the truck in...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 2000 Toyota Tundra access cab Pop Ups?

That's a sweet looking rig, but a little larger than what I'm thinking of. What kind of milage do you get with it on the Tundra? Roughly how much $ did you spend to upgrade your suspension? ** Thanks for the reply and pics! Thanks Dash! It is a little big, but I really like having the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 2000 Toyota Tundra access cab Pop Ups?

Dashboardburrito, I don't know the difference between my 2004 Tundra Access cab and your 2000, but I have a 2008 Northstar TC800XB that rides nicely on my Tundra with airbags & a Wheeler's leveling/lift. It would be nice to add a Deaver spring pack in the future, though.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Back Door Awning

Looks good knobbytracks. Yes, my cheap tarp is also not square. Keep the also cheap Wal*Mart poles well oiled--they rust very quickly! And welcome to the forum. Stew Stew, Thanks for the heads up on the poles, I'll definately remember to do that. On another note, I'm in the process of...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Back Door Awning

Here's my first outing with my new awning. Harbor Freight tarp (8X10) - $7.00 awning rail - $19.00 Walmart tent poles (2) - $10.00 each I had a friend sew in a length of rope into the tarp. This slides into the awning rail. This worked really well. One thing I noticed: cheap tarps are not...
