RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West buckled / bent lift frame question

solution . . . maybe Thanks Keith and Ed. I went ahead and installed some aluminum reinforcement rods with aluminum rivets for now. The material is much thicker than the original and it fits perfectly in the channel. So far it seems strong and secure. I'll post some photos when we get back from...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West AZ Camping Ideas?

We took the Apache trail and camped at Apache Lake. The road winds right along the lake. We enjoyed it. Just remember if you plan to stay you need a "Tonto Pass." There's a ranger station at Roosevelt Lake where you can buy one. You can't pay at the campgrounds anymore and we had to waste an...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Arizona trip insight?

I'm taking my wife and 2 kids (2 and 4) to Arizona in a couple weeks for some camping. We were thinking about hitting the Prescott area first (Lynx Lake), then exploring Sedona (Oak Creek Canyon), Flagstaff, possibly Mogollon region, and down to Tuscon as a final destination (for my Grandfathers...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West New Member Introduction

My bolts broke, too Not sure if the diagnosis would be the same for The toyota, but I determined the problem on my 98 f150 to be the leaf springs fanning out and actually making excessive contact with the bolts when offroading. They're really close to each other to begin with. I had spring pack...

Welcome I just joined recently, too. Your photos remind me of how I miss Baja and fun surf trips. We have 2 youngsters and decided to steer clear for a while with all the riff-raff going on down there, but will keep the hope up. Will throw you a shaka if I see you in North County. Go Chargers...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Roof Weight on a FWC???

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Roof Weight on a FWC???

Roof weight We have a long thule box on top, too. We really like it to store lightweight extras and keep the camper clear for dealing with kids (changing diapers etc), eating lunch, and spot for the dog on long trips. What we've done that might help you is (if you have the yakima track system)...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West unidentified extras on 4wc???

Thanks for the replies on the altitude problems with Fridge and furnace. I don't think anything's broken--just thought I wasn't supposed to use above recommended altitudes. There's a small black receptacle on the top of my 4wc. Is that for future solar considerations? Also, there's a strip of...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Norcold fridge, heater, and altitude

Greetings. New to the forum. 4WC owner since 2005. Any solutions to using Gas fridge and furnace at altitude? Norcold recommends not using at over 4500 ft and suburban furnace at 5500 ft. We often camp much, much higher. One time I couldn't even get the pilot to light at 4600 ft. I read...
