RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fan-tastic replacement parts?

Has anyone sourced replacement parts for the Fan-tastic vent fans? I have the 4000 model with a broken plastic face, like in the picture. I don't have the googlejuice to find it myself.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SurePower 1314/1315 vs. "battery switch"

I run mine the exact same way. Been working perfectly for six years now. And its only 10 guage wire to the camper from the truck. Thanks, craig. It's good to hear 10 ga is working for you. I'd rather not mess with 4 or less.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SurePower 1314/1315 vs. "battery switch"

Natjwest, I use nothing more than a Perko marine battery combiner switch in the camper... ... Even more confused now ? Actually I am totally less confused now, you did a great job explaining it and I think I'll do your way. Leaving it in "both" is an idea I hadn't really thought of. But what...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Used Camper Alert Thread

Hi Prof - John (the seller of my FWC) mentioned that "the other one" (apparently, the one you bought) needs more work than mine. Hopefully it isn't too much and you can get out and enjoy it asap. Regarding FWC company help, I can only relate my experience which was amazingly helpful...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SurePower 1314/1315 vs. "battery switch"

Is there any reason not to use the SurePower 1315? I'm going to get solar at some point in the future, so the 1315 would be able to allow current through to the starting batteries instead of the 1314 which only goes from alternator to aux battery. I can't believe how hard it is for me to...

Are you trying to say you bought his old camper? I wish someone would buy that annoying monstrosity in my driveway. My Grandby is like a nano-camper compared to the 9 ft KIT.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to find your used FWC

Here is the email I sent to the handyman-mechanic I paid to check out the camper I planned to buy. The list of things I asked him to check below were specific to my camper and not a generic list. This thread is pretty handy for used camper information also. Hi Donnie, here is the list of things...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to find your used FWC

Just this past week, I bought my FWC Grandby after sorta hunting for a couple months and really hunting for about one month. Unless you're in a weird location (New England, Florida, Alaska) it's my belief that you can buy the camper you want in a couple months' search. Here's how I found mine...

You made a great buy. It even has the factory roof racks, an awning, and 4 mechanical jacks. I would like find a FWC that fits a Tacoma for that price, and in that kind of condition. Minor trip report here.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Portland to Grass Valley, CA and back

I am finally home after a brief but too-long trip to purchase my Grandby camper. I started off in Portland on Thursday Sept 30th at 5:30 AM. The tailgate was off, gear packed, a quick three-day jaunt to central California to pick up the camper, stopping by Bend on the way home for some mountain...

Unless you find something major wrong with the camper, I think you are getting an excellent deal. Can you post a few pics of the Grandby if you make the purchase? Phew! After one shade-tree fuel filter replacement on the road and 16 1/2 hours after I left Portland, I'm parked in the FWC...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Which 12V fridges fit in the icebox hole?

Anything wrong with using a cooler initially while you get your bearings on the camper and make a non-rushed design? Actually, yes. I don't need to make the decision of where to mount it or use it, or what to cut up/cut out/modify. I do just need to come back from the pickup trip with a fridge.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Which 12V fridges fit in the icebox hole?

Yeah, that seems the best idea. Also, it will be away from the furnace. Now where can I buy an ARB or Engel or similar "chest" fridge in Sacto area on Friday? Does FWC sell them? They are listed on Engel's website as a dealer. I'd love a Coleman Stirling for cheaper.
