I spent 15 winters in the bush in W. AK...the last 7 winters, we used 2 propane/tanks for our stove...they sat outside the front of the house and were "exposed" to up to 30 below weather at times during the winter... and yes, at those temps the propane flow got very slow... I built a 3 sided box...
Thanks folks...great suggestions...looks like a 25' white water hose is preferred by most, but like the idea of 2 x 10' hoses...I believe the electrical adapter comes standard with our new Fleet, so a regular 25' outdoor extension cord should be a good place to start...
Have already thought...
Tired of searching the site as a newbie about to take delivery in January, trying to "stock" with needed accessories...
So what length of water hose do you find adequate? quality needed including flexibility?
What length of extension cord do you use/need to plug in to camp site? what gauge...
I with Bill D...would love to see a "loading video"... we are newbys about to take deliver on a new Fleet in January... plan on keeping the camper on our p/u 95% of the time, but your "pictures are worth a thousand words" ... will look at this often especially as we get "close" to doing a...
Yup...we just got the step stool...it is sturdy, light (5#s) and was recommended by others...Rubbermaid...going into our new Fleet in December...

Thanks for your suggestions... they "got me going on my research"...
Here is an update on my research for matting for my 59.5" x 73" Nissan bed: (posted websites for each product if interested)
(1) looked at the Dee Zee rubber, universal mat (4'x6') from Amazon @ $84 @ 22#s (free shipping)...
thanks for your reply... "not very active"? can't imagine why? you guys are definitely "busy campers"... keep on treckin'... but will continue to enjoy your website posts keeping up on your family's adventures.. :D
Will be taking delivery of our new "Fleet" in December...was wondering if I should buy/install a non-slip bed liner in our 93 Nissan p/u bed to help arrest any slipping of the camper once installed... Love to hear pros/cons...and any cost effective suggestions about materials/cost/venders/...
thanks Bseek for the clarification that another member found/posted this utube video...
fyi, after exploring their website posted by Spitfire, I sent Dan and Marlene(authors of the utube) an email inviting them to become members if so inclined...and asked a few of my own questions...
so with...
Rotti,
Thanks for the chart...numbers very close to a chart I use to monitor my deep cycle boat batteries (for electric motor)...
what I was specifically curious about was, does the Innova "monitor" inserted in a 12v. plug (inside the cabin I assume) give the same readings a a voltage meter...
Old Crow,
when you use your Innova "Battery and Charging System Monitor" in a 12v. socket, you said, "you have to interpret what that means"... could you offer more details about your "interpretation" of its reading?
looks like a inexpensive tool to assist the current led lights that are the...
thanks folks for all the great, practical suggestions...
just "Amazoned" a bubble level and set of the Hopkins levels to mount on the camper... we should be good to go... like the idea of the bubble level in the truck...suspect I can get to 90% or better level while parking, then use Rando's 1...
Does the Fleet come with level assists (bubbles) on sides and/or back of camper? to assist your leveling process of your rig? If not, what have folks installed and/or tools you use to confirm a level park? we have already got a bag of the Lynx levelers...just trying to be "prepared" when we...
Well, I finally got the wts. info I have searched for on my 93 Nissan SE-V6 King Cab 4x4/5sp p/u wts. ala this thread:
yesterday, I found what appears the twin of my truck ala Car Garu search site...at a Salem OR used car dealer...he sent me a photo of the sticker on the driver's side...
About using truck inspection stations for checking truck / camper wts....we have one about a mile down the road from us on Hwy 30...it is only open 1 or 2 days out of the week it appears...any time it is closed, the scale remains "on"...no problem pulling up the scale and weighing in... they are...
Scud...you scored again with this post(along with my other question about GAWR)...
I couldn't get that kind of info from a tire dealer! have printed it out and will ponder your thoughts and analysis...most of it I understand, but so much appreciate all the details...and yes the current tires...
Scud,
thanks for website reference ... yes, the 1400# bed wt. is what my manual says, but still looking for the sticker info which will include all the gvwr/gawr numbers--total, front, rear... last night I joined a Nissan owners chat site...will be posting a question there... maybe I will get...
Alley-Kat,
Thanks for reference... I looked closely against my own paperwork...it is close but not sure this is for my model...one give away was it listed 14" rims / 75R14 tires... my model came/lists 15" rims / 75R15 tires... and the model info on the photo is not recognized (EHLG-FBU)... on...
Tree,
We are getting the "loaded" model... we are estimating wt. at around #1200 (less supplies) with 2 6-volt battery system, thermal pack, fan, side awning, furnace, camper Jacks(but will remove while running), solar panel (roof), frig/freezer...
Again, taking delivery 12/16 of a "Fleet" 4W camper to fit on 93 Nissan 4x4 SE V-6 King Cab... during my first year I owned the truck someone side swiped me... I had body work done to the driver's side/door and "lost" the vehicle certification label on the driver's door lock pillar where the...
Will take delivery on a "Fleet" camper 12/16 :) ...will mount on 93 Nissan SE V6 (old but only 72,000 miles and in great shape)...have already installed air bags(Airlift P/N 5906) ... running stock wheels @15" and tires: 235/75R 15XL 108S HK H724 (4 yrs. old w/ 3,000 miles) from Les Schwab...
