RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ceiling sagging in four wheel camper

The interior ceiling of my four wheel camper grandby ~2002 is sagging. the molding that holds the interior ceiling padding up keeps popping out. initially i was able to just tack it back in place, using the original tacks, using a rubber mallet and it would hold for weeks. No longer the case...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camping with a Baby

well versed in this area... 2 kiddos under two years old. you can both sleep up top and then make a "pack n play" out of the bags and other stuff you've brought with you. it can essentially baricade them into an area, under the overcab bed. works well w/o having to bring any extra gear. i...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Oregon Coast Recommendations

so we took the trip... great time. hit three campgrounds... Cape Lookout, Beverly Beach and Nehalem Bay State Park. Far and away the best was Cape Lookout. The other two had very small campspots... surrounded by big RV's. The tent camping spots at Cape Lookout are outstanding. Thank you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Charging camper battery via alternater

i have a grandby that is wired to my truck (2007 Tundra) alternator via a battery isolator. The hook up was done by a reliable local outfit; however, it seems that the charge, if any, from the alternator is minimal. I've even noticed that if i'm driving on a journey w/ the fridge on a low dc...

new to the camper scene and the electric stuff goes a little over my head. i'm looking for a cheap way to get some sound off my mp3 player onto some computer stereo speakers w/ a subwoofer that i'd keep in the camper. the speakers havea ac plug that has a built in inverter that says 12V on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Gas Mileage Difference with Camper

I have the same truck, but with a Bobcat that doesn't stick out over the sides so much, so less wind resistance. I get about 16-19 without the camper (depending on how fast I'm going) and about 14 with the camper. Did you have the jacks on? If so, that would create a lot of wind resistance. I...

thanks for the pics. unfortunately our whitewater kayaks are not long enough to span the distance between the two factory racks w/o sitting on the roof directly (probably not a good idea). will likely have to install another row of rack between the two factory racks. m
