RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2017 - about ready to throw the heater in the garbage.

Yes Couger Couple I had also meant to put that in the post. I learned the hard way that they have two different style sail switches for this model furnace. I kept ordering new ones only to receive an "Incorrect" switch. That's when I came to learn that there are two styles of sail switches...

Photo As you can see at the top of the switch is the blade that stands vertical.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2017 - about ready to throw the heater in the garbage.

Appreciate all the replies and the video...however I have come to the conclusion I have the wrong style furnace in my camper from the factory. Let me tell you why: The sail switch on my model furnace sits vertical. All the video and trouble shooting videos I have seen sit horizontal. Why...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2017 - about ready to throw the heater in the garbage.

I am so frustrated with this heater. Had issues since day one. Latest is no spark...again and this time it's pure magic.. - I've, replaced the sail switch, twice as I purchased a second (third) as a back up. No go. That was after doing the jumper wire instructions FWC has on their...

Hello all. Need help locating the correct sail switch. Cross referenced my furnace (2017) build on the Dometic site and the model number does not correlate to the correct furnace? Model number AFSAD12111. I ordered the sail switch for that model and the flapper Is all wrong. In fact the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Drilling holes for L-track on the back of a hawk

On the stud finder....Not a silly question, yes it does kind of. I used a stud finder to locate the support beams when I mounted my rails on the roof. I tried it on the back and got mixed results.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Drilling holes for L-track on the back of a hawk

Hello FWC fam. I am wanting to mount some L-track on the back of my Hawk to hold a trasharoo. Before I commit thought I would confer with the group. I have found a photo of a frame off the googs and it looks like there are a couple of vertical channels/studs. Based of my best guess, and some...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire and wheel choice for hauling FWC

I have a 2020 Ram 2500 (Power Wagon) and first off a 35"tire will fit no issues, even non-pw's. IMHO that's the perfect tire size for these trucks. And ditch the 20's, 17's are the best bet. You might even be able to find a set of PW take-offs on Craigslist...or AEV is selling the silver...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Hawk Shell power suggestions

Agree with the other posters. I also have a shell. With your set up of solar and dual 6 volts you might be surprised by how little of "juice" you use. I would get a victron monitor first so you can monitor the power you actually have/produce...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2020 Power Wagon Build

I have Ride Rite on my 2020 PW with factory rear sway bar. While I don't have the weight of the added bumpers I can say the PW will handle a FWC no issues at all. And yes, I have used it on some pretty gnarly roads in the deserts of Nevada, Arizona and Cal.

Where did you mount the compressor? I have been waiting for someone come out with an ARB duel mount for under hood. That rear bumper is sweet, I've had my eye on one for a couple months now.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting a shower tent

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for and was not aware someone made brackets. I never even looked at the ironman setup as I had a set of thier lights and they were pretty bad on the quality side of things. How is thier ensuite and brackets? Holding up OK? And how did you mount...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Backing plates pulling through truck bed

Hey guys OP here. I wound up selling that truck and moved on to a new one. Hopefully I don't have this issue in my new Ram. I'm never one to blink an eye at quality kit, but just curious why the tork lift cost so much? Is thier that much to them to justify the price?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting a shower tent

Hello all. Looking for ideas or experiences in mounting an outdoor shower cube to the side of my Hawk. Ideally I would like to come up with a mounting solution to be able to detach it when in storage or for those tight tracks where branches might snag. How have others mounted thiers? Any...

Second that on also using that hole. Although I did relocate my battery out of that box. For the plug itself, use this. It fits in the hole perfectly and provides a weather tight exterior recepticale. https://no.co/gcp1

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT Overland fuel can holder - fuel can help.

So a couple more questions on this. Is the actual holder the same size between the Nato holder and Wavian? Is it just the strap that is different? Assuming since I can't find a Wavian fuel can I can just order a new strap and get a Nato can. Secondly, did they redesign the mounting bracket...
