RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water pump sucking electricity

Everything electrical in the camper works fine, except when I turn on the water pump and then the lights dim/go out. I have a battery monitor in the camper. (I saw it on this forum quite a few years ago and installed one.) It's reading 10.9 right now which is the lowest it has read in years.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water pump sucking electricity

I have two batteries and they are both brand new. The low temperature on this 10-day trip has only been down to 45 degrees. The water pump still works. I have an 85-watt solar panel that charges the batteries. Since I’m out I won’t be able to do much to the batteries until I return home mid...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water pump sucking electricity

I accidentally left my water pump on for a few hours (with no water running). Now, when I turn it on and run water it draws down my power from around 11.4 to under 9. Any suggestions on how I can fix the situation?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire pressure on dirt roads

I blew out a tire recently (and I was only going 10-12 mph) on a dirt/loose rock road. I believe a pointed rock struck the tire's sidewall and the tire blew. I was running full inflate and was told that when driving on dirt/rocky roads I should deflate my tires. What would be a good psi to be...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electrical Situation

It's a marine battery from Sears, they're top-of-the line. I never depleted the battery because it's hooked up to my solar panel which is "on" all of the time. (I live in San Diego with lots of sun.)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electrical Situation

I have a built-in meter. Well, I took the battery to Sears and they tested it. As soon as they put a load on the batter it went from 13 to 6 volts. So I have a brand new free battery.
