RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rear cargo box / kitchen

Thank you for the details. I can certainly make good use of the space the kitchen box will provide, messy things that should be out of the living space. The manufacture claims a weight of 65 lbs. for the mega swing w/o accessories. I would also like to install a 2 bike tray on the top of the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rear cargo box / kitchen

I also have been lusting for a swing mount bumper, Aluminess type box, sadly the F150 is not a candidate. This is the best thing I have seen, ever... ;) I had not heard of Rigd until I saw your post. Good website and email return, the suggested Model for the F150/ ATC camper is the Ultraswing...

A flatbed is definitely a good thought. The F150 box size is spot on outside of the shorter by 1 inch bed rails. This allows me to have a dual use truck . I’m really pleased as to how easily the camper slides off / on. Rock.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Looking for F150 crew cab pics with an Ocelot. 6.5 ft bed

Due to an untimely loss of my Ford F-150 Super cab, I am upgrading to a heavier built Crew cab 4 x 4. Very curious to see a side view of the 4 door version to get an idea of where the upper bunk ends over the cab. I can’t seem to find any with a search here, but if anyone can point me to a...

Thank you Frank, this is the plan. Clean title, believe it or not, but a Car Fax that declares a re-framed vehicle, I would never touch that. I have a Ford F-150 in mind, a Heavy payload version, it is an order only truck and should be rated to carry between 2200 and 2400 lbs, each option takes...

You sure are right with this approach, the entry level attorney eventually can or will become the judge. It is the system they have provided for themselves. We are in the middle and used much like cut bait on a Tuna boat. California provides 2 years before an injury accident can no longer be...

Well, I understand you with this, the truck was totaled, had to be as far as I’m concerned. The estimate included complete new frame, all 3 pieces. Labor was very high, and I believe all components, engine trans and rear end had to be pulled, the transmission was clicking, rear diff was slipping...

Thank you for the insight. I did leave it outside for a couple of our earlier rain events, then it went on a dolly and into the garage. If that was enough water, I bet Marty and the boys can find a problem. I seriously hope if there is a leak, it is traceable. There is no inspection fee, so no...

So right there, hard to believe she didn't see an 87 inch wide x +72 inch tall, white & stationery billboard. ,with my foot firmly on the brakes, They never contested liability, tough to do with a rear end collision. I have decided since that a good move might be , if safe and clearheaded...

The F250 bed/box is 3 inches longer and 6 inches wider,I believe. I will need to deal with yet another shortened bed walls by ford as they knocked an inch off of the height of them, an aesthetic adjustment. for me . ATC did say they would fit it to the new ford bed, probably a silly move on my...

Yeah, that is what Marty @ ATC was saying, they will perform an inspection and re-install. Most of the impact seems to have went straight up the drive train ,transmission and engine frame mount. I have went over it without any disassembly, systems are functioning as built...

Hey Russ, No new truck yet, the picture is on its way to the dismantler, amazing how good it looks and how gone it was. The liable party wouldn't fix it and my insurance wanted to weld salvage yard parts back on, I was better off without it I am ready to find something and am prepared to order...

Hello all, Long time no post for me, my injuries were insignificant though are nagging, whew !! Way back, Sept 11 2017, I was sitting at a stoplight wishing for a cup of coffee and was rear ended by a 2001 Jeep wrangler/winch and Bully bumper. distracted teen, who was in tears though she was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Kermit Chair - Shout Out

Very nice indeed, I have had both of mine since the summer of '99.I just spoke with Tom the owner last week. Same guy I spoke to in '99 :). I ordered two sets of leg extensions, and while I gritted my teeth a little, they are very functional and well made, more of that "get what ya pay for"...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rear Bumper with Swing away spare tire and Storage box

I can surely second these thoughts, I have been mildly surprised at the lack of rear bumpers, with swing mount, available for the F150,esp aluminum. I do understand the slide in pop up is an ideally suited, perhaps niche market. As an add on for next year, the swing mount galley/storage box Is...

After just returning from a 3 state ,3 week fishing, hiking and camping journey, I stayed dispersed or tent only with great results. I always set up a tent for both Action Packer boxes and slept in the ATC. This kept my site occupied while I pursued fish or trails. In sites with a host,Eastren...

Congrats on the new rig and have fun adjusting to the steps up. I have spent just 10 nights in mine, adding up fast though. I'm coming from motorcycle tent camping and truck camper shell. So there is plenty of space, properly filled is the key. I keep notes on each journey and refine as I go...

Another ++ for the ARB , don't be fooled by the imported knock offs , while the ARB is also a globally sourced import, they must have at least one quality control "engineer" there is a noticeable difference in fit /finish. Kid down the street is stlll looking for the clip that held his...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Sonora Pass opens today 6-13-17

Those are impressive pictures on many accounts ! I ended up spending several days up near Green Creek and Obsidiam CG's south of Bridgeport and up. GC had come up 2 inches , below an old beaver dam, in 24 hours, it was crystal clear when I arrived and only slightly off color when I left. I was...

Those look great, and I recently noticed the same dilemma with dark cabinets. I can't see how you would know they we're turning on/off other than shortened battery life. I've added them to my Azon list and will watch for the longer term report, I'll bet they work just fine thank you. Rock

Thanks ^^. I changed my plans to leave today as soon as I can. I've looked at river flows a little and the E. Walker is running over 800 cfs. Unfishable, well perhaps uncatchable. Leavitt Campgrounds sound ideal I will def head that way. I can drop in at Kens fly shop (sporting goods) in...

I saw a post by billharr here earlier today, (thanks bh). Opened at 2:21 today. Having only moto camped over the years I have never moved to far, if at all away from the pavement. I am aware most CG's enroute must still be snow bound. This is ok should still be a great early season drive. Can...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best place to buy D or E load range tires

I did a Ford dealer tire match from Costco, I won't do it again. Ford scratched two rims, not a big deal, but I'd rather scratch my own wheels :). No warranty outside of BF Goodrich standard. And no national support for problems, my dealer only. I used Ford so I could get my speedo recalibrated...
