RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Trip to Timothly lake, Or

So this past weekend my work sent me to Kah-Nee-Ta hot springs for an offsite meeting. I figured it would be perfect to take the camper and on the way back stop by Timothly lake to finish off the weekend. So this time I was able to take my normal truck vs. my "wood getter truck" With the camper...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West First camping trip since buying the Granby

After picking up my Granby at the end of March, I finally was able to go Camping down at the beach June 7th. at Spinreel campground just south of Winchester Bay, Or. the pic below is I'm loaded and ready to go.. had to use my "wood getter truck" as the main truck needed new tie rod ends and was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Centering camper on truck bed

IMO being off an inch or so will not make difference. at least on my truck it does not. now if you do not have the room between the fender wells, would seem to be self correcting..

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Palomino Bronco Reviews

Like what was said before. Trade one, the truck or camper needs to go.. GVWR is the number you want to stay under to be legal and piece of mind.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Voyageurs National Park

I lived in New Praque, MN for a few years in the 90's. the whole state is great for the outdoors. ice fishing is something that is great fun. and spring and Fall is perfect weather... no bugs and not quite the humidy. the lakes are everywhere and fishing perfect....

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West auto change propane tanks

yes i have two 10# tanks, and when in the mountains elk hunting or any other type of cold weather camping. it sure is nice to have it auto switch so you do not wake up in a 20 degree camper after the propane runs out. been there done that... thanks for everyone's input I do like this site.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West auto change propane tanks

I think your right. I will just go and Google the auto-switch regulator.. I have a compressor fridge also. I was more thinking that the heat will stay on all night, as needed and during cooking no issues of switching tanks. it is more of a convenience thing for cooking.. my Lance and Artic Fox...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West auto change propane tanks

all, I have a camper with dual propane tanks. When one runs out of propane you have to switch the hose to the other tank. This does not make a whole lot of sense to do in the middle of the night ect... what have people done to swap to connect up two hoses and have the regulator auto swap to the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West sunlite pop up tc or similar on a first gen tacoma?

I'm not sure if the camper tag includes propane and water.. the tag should say one way or the other? but if your that close to the GWVR then I would think about a different truck or camper....

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West sunlite pop up tc or similar on a first gen tacoma?

I think what gets you is the liquid, water, drinks then food, clothes. it adds up faster then you think. pots and pans. if you bring a cooler full of drinks and ice that's another 40-50 pounds.. also did you weigh your truck with a full tank of fuel? depending on the size of tank, gas at 6+...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West sunlite pop up tc or similar on a first gen tacoma?

remember if you go over the gvwr you are not legal.. no matter what tires you put on it, air bags or leaf springs.... I used to have a 06 taco with a v6 and for me a camper on it would be painfull especially on the long drives.... but depending on your acceptance of going slow up hills and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ordered a new Granby should be here at the end of the month.

I did get the camper two weeks ago.. since then my work has kept me hostage. I will post pics and my first impressions in the next couple days. But I do know this. 4 wheel disk brakes works so much better then drums in the rain... and it drives down the road actually smooth.. no swaying when...

yes, that was one of my concerns of wind buffeting the top with the camper on. I will know if that is an issue. on the drive back.. for effect I can fold the windshield down also! ;-)

that is good to hear on the no issues on the install. and with the depoe right there getting parts as needed is easier... time is slowing down that is for sure...

Here is one more with a pallot of retaining wall material in the bed. which weighs more then the camper that will be going on it. so suspension should handle it just fine..

Below is a pic of the truck. It should be interesting what the mpg will be with the camper on it. I currently get 17 on the highway..I'm hoping for 15mpg.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ordered a new Granby should be here at the end of the month.

It gets installed on 3/27 in Phoenix, OR. at the home depoe parking lot.. that should be interesting... I will take pics during the install.. because of the high cab, short bed length(7'8") and the low bed height the camper will not look quite as clean as on a standard full size. but the truck...

so I finally pulled the trigger on ordering a Granby at the Portland sportsman show. I gave up looking for a used one after almost a year of looking everywhere within reason. now looking forward for it to get here and go camping.. This camper is going on my Jeep truck M715(not stock). yes it is...
