RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Power issues

So am I understanding this correctly, you are getting a high voltage charge from using the inverter in the bed (hooked to the shore power plug) than just the regular charging set up from the wires ran to the trucks batt? Trying learn what's up, as I get my new fleet in a couple weeks, going on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rock rails versus Running boards

I have made a couple sets of extra heavy duty nerf bars. I used thick wall 2.5" pipe and bend it on each end to mout to the frame. it must stick out farther than the doors to be any protection. I have added strips of aluminium diamond plate to the top for traction to step onto.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Bottom Slats

For me it would be about the extra weight. when I had to build up the bottom of my old pastime to get it to clear the cab, I used cedar 2"×4"s they are very light and super weather resistant Maybe they would work well for your situation also.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Tacoma Bucking/Shuddering/Bouncing

The adjustable Rancho shocks for the rear, is on my to do list. I think that is the way to go for me, since my camper is off and on very often.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Decision Made…. Little power help please

I am going to recommend the 2nd batt. if you are doing a lot of winter camping, you won't have as much sun, plus you will be using more power. Also i would just have them do it, because what they charge to purchase and install, you can't beat the price by much.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Tacoma Bucking/Shuddering/Bouncing

With our pastime I think I was around 45-50psi I need to re evaluate my suspension, because I think I am carrying too much weight on the bags, and not enough on the springs

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Tacoma Bucking/Shuddering/Bouncing

I have a 2011 tacoma the we used with a 93 Pastime, but have a fleet on the way. The problem starts at the length of the wheelbase. It's the perfect storm for the hoping. So to fix it, you need to get the correct suspension for the weight you are carrying, then get the appropriate shocks to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle Question

I have been using the full size Fastguns on my Pastime (outside the bed to frame mounts) for a short while, and they are great So now that we have a FWC fleet on the way, I have been wondering if there would be room to build some kind of short assembly for inside the bed mounts using their...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Spring loaded vs regular turnbuckles for bed mount?

We used Fastguns on our 93 Pastime and they are simply the best thing I have used. I think i will st up our new fleet with some exterior tie downs so I can use them instead of the interior bed mounts.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why did you choose ATC over FWC

We have a front dinette fleet on its way. it will be going on a 2011 quad cab Tacoma, we have been using a 93 Pastime for the last few years, and it was good to us, but we wanted something new, and the lighter pop-up appeals to me because we often make a high speed run somewhere on Friday evening.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why did you choose ATC over FWC

That's not bad at all for a timeline. I live to far away to get down to the factory. I was able to touch and look at the FWC at the Tigard Or. Dealer. Plus they already had ordered a few, so we were able to get one of those, and set it up how we wanted. Only going to end up being a 1 month wait...

Can you share those measurements with us? I have a new fleet on the way soon, and planned on installing floods myself, because $395 is too much money for two lights.
