Brett13 have you ever thought about a "bag awning"? that is what I did for my rear awning, you have to install an awning track, then the awning just slides into track and you unroll it and your set, just remmber to install awning before raising camper unless you want to stand on step stool, not...

carry a spare , not same type of tire or rim but same size, usally don't carry a air compressor, but have used starting fluid to set tire back onto rim:D

got to love those older fords:thumb: my 89 had the 5 speed, the 96 has auto, like the auto when driving in heavy traffic, and with the 4x4 can always go into low range in off road conditions

I use some 2x6 about 2 foot long ,have six of them and just stack ontop of each other as needed that makes easy ramp to drive up, and when one splits there used for fire starter

Got the truck bed sprayed with bed liner, got all the wiring run for lights, charging, and backup camera, so its time to set camper on truck and have some fun, :p so here are couple pics of my set up 96 f350 86 keystone

by the looks ,I would guess its in the mid eighties, and say it won't fit your truck the camper base is to wide

that is the reason I stayed with the 460, the power:D, yes you guys with the diesels have the power also, but it costs alot less to work on or replace that gas engine, if I bought the truck brand new might been a different story diesel vs gas, but used truck dicided to stay with the gas engine...

havn't had the camper on it yet but is getting around 12mpg used to that old truck had 460 also, didn't make a difference loaded or empty

Well finaly broke down and got a newer truck :) to replace our 89 f250 with over 380000 miles on it. Took a bit of looking around to find what we wanted, didnt want to upgrade camper too. so newest we could go was 96-97 ford , so finaly found one that we liked and was in good shape, its a 96...
