RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West S.O.B. (Some Other Brand) Photo Gallery

The Hallmark is great! Got a small trip in with it, no complaints (other than having to keep it a short trip). still has that new camper smell (which is always much better than the old camper smell  ) Glad you like the stuff on Flickr, you push the buttons enough times, sometimes you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hallmark owners - how is the dinette/ bed?

Agreed, their table wouldn't work as it comes standard, edges are molded and the dimensions aren't the same as the dinette opening that needs to be spanned. I just took the filler piece and store it under the mattress (not in the storage bin). Will probably forget it's there when I want to use it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hallmark owners - how is the dinette/ bed?

Well, can't give you any words of wisdom about how the bunk would work, we haven't had any occasion to use ours yet (probably a few years away, grandson is just 9 mos. :-) ). It seems to be a pretty simple affair, you pull out the table and stand, put in the board they give you and flatten the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West BBQ for camper - with a poll!

Didn't see anyone mention a Volcano Grill http://www.volcanogrills.com Uses charcoal, wood, and/or propane. I just got one and haven't had a chance to do anything other than run a handful of briquettes through it to burn off all the assembly oil. Packs away pretty well (although the propane...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to protect popup roof latches?

I look at the latches on mine and can see that happening all the time (I'm in the PNW too). It may be more of case of a solution looking for the problem as it doesn't seem to come up as problem on any of the various forums (or at least not mentioned enough to notice). Personally I think it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Nerve racking roads

We didn't find the Valley of the Gods road that bad but we only saw 2 other vehicles go by the 2 days we were there. The Moki Dugway is definitely invigorating

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Hallmark Ute

Hallmark must have recognized the issue, as they installed it under our mattress. I had planned on something along these lines but now don't have to. I would think Hallmark and other campers that have the storage area under the mattress may be a little less susceptible as that creates a bit of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another new Hallmark

I would think of the two brands being completely different animals. FWC builds theirs using a completely different design and philosophy. They tend to cater to the folks that like a more utilitarian approach, with a lot of customers buying shells and fitting out themselves as they need...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another new Hallmark

I can't disagree on the communications at times, there was a lag in response. I do take part of the blame as I tend to just communicate via e-mail, and they not being a tech oriented company, don't seem to rely as heavily on that as I do in my normal life these days. Once I could get a clog...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Hallmark Ute

Thanks for the update on your real world experiences. Your original post was one of the pointers for me to look at Hallmark, and so far I'm glad I did. We just returned home (just down the road from you in Bellevue) with our new K2. We got 5 good nights in it on the way home and didn't have...

La Plata Canyon outside of Durango. We continued over to Valley of the Gods, Natural Bridges (really nice when you have the whole place to yourselves:-)), then Arches. Saw some family in the SLC area, then high tailed it home to the Seattle area. Been a long time since I've been able to see...

Great work, really enjoy following along. Thanks for sharing all your hard work. So, when you get it all done, how much of the original camper will be left? Not much it looks like :-)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Changed trucks, now have to move the Hawk

Learn what you can about the problems with the 6.4 Powerstroke. It can be a great motor but there are some issues with it that can cost some dollars. Be very conscious of the cooling system, and the fluid. Like everything these days, it's much more complex, you can't just top off with some...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Teds have a new Hawk

(lurker for awhile, new to posting) Seeing the quality of ale that is part of the personalized stocking service, I would say it's a good investment! Reading these threads aren't making it very easy to keep from pulling the trigger on one of these!
