Yes - I built a 1" aluminum box frame for the two solar panels as laid out in camper roof 2.pdf. They will tilt up from the edge.
I'm just finishing up wiring and insulation for the roof. The headliner is next - tomorrow if it's not too cold out. I'm not sure how chilly it can be for the...
I'm confused by all the above. Is there something wrong with using a voltage sensitive relay - something like this?

Or am I missing something here - you want to do something other than use the alternator to charge both batteries, with priority...
BatteryPete has solar panels for an excellent, "best on the web" price. The link images in the schematic represent the "least expensive" parts to make up the system.
Jeff,
Where/how are you putting up all those watts? I will attempt similar...
I got 10 yards of fabric. It was 61" wide. I wanted a 36" tall sideliner so I cut pieces 36" x 61" (after cutting my blue fabric longitudinally rather than latitudinally. I Put six windows in six panels, and have two panels to make up the difference. Eight panels total.
The sideliner is...
I just had a MRI and have lower back foraminal narrowing at the L3/L4 region. I've been a slacker my whole life - eat and drink what I will and deal with the consequences later. I played tennis four times a week for three decades, and then had knee issues, and it's been downhill from there...
Hey Tim:
Your video is incredibly helpful. I found that sewing straight is the biggest issue, and getting the tension right on the machine. I pretty much followed what you did and it's all working out. Thanks for putting in all the work on the video...

It's made to clean vinyl. You can also purchase the 303 protectant product as well. Pricey, but worth it. This is what people use on their river rafts.

Now that's good enough for me. I'll use the HH-66 on the last seam rather than sewing it with an awl. that's also good news when it comes to moving windows, or adding them.
Did you cut out a piece and glue a patch in, or take off the trim strips that hold the sidewall and replace a whole...
Yes - I'll allow for a couple inches less circumference on the bottom than the top. Like Tim Morrissey in his video, I'll sew the last seam with an awl after cutting it to fit.
And I chuckle - the planning took far longer than actually putting the panels together. The same with the aluminum...
I couldn't figure out how to post images here on the forum so created an album in the gallery. This is a kind of a choppy view of the process I went through cutting and sewing up six panels with windows. In the end i chose not to include permanent privacy flaps I'll sew some up later that can...
Here are the five windows velcroed to the panels ready to have the final seam sewed. One of the things I regret is that I didn't pay attention to the lower corners and all the stuff that collected there. If you watch Tim's video you'll a much cleaner finished product. He paid way more...
