For the Victron Orion 12/12-30A charger, I do want the "isolated" version don't I?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic furnace sail switch rehash/update

FWC sells the sail switch that will very likely work for you. It did for me and has worked perfectly since. In process of buying that switch I spoke with Brenda who confirmed it was the 33081 model. Based on what I've read, there were a batch of malfunctioning sail switches. I got one of those...

I'm confused too. I've listed my correct model# and SN previously. The sail switch in my heater looks exactly as that in this link https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/dometic-furnace-sail-switch-with-bracket-33081

Okay, but.... My model# is DFSAD12111 and SN:11295264. This places my serial number well before 72498929. My sail switch is most definitely a flat blade - suggesting it's part #33081. There is too much discrepancy in available information. FWC should add sail switch kits to it's new online...

My apology for my hand in confusing this issue (my conversation with Dometic was different than Rich's). Yeah, it might take some dedicated study to follow the issues. Not a drive thru. Just get the 33081 if you have model #DFSAD12111

I ordered two 33081 kits. Two plan B's

"Which "kits" or switches should a person order to correct an issue with the heater in a FWC?" Exactly! Why is this so difficult? I'm now in agreement with Rich on 33081.

What was emphasized was to use the new mounting block. Online, I see the mounting block for 82 is indeed quite different. So, I'm not certain the switch is different but the mounting block is. Shawn, the person at Dometic with whom I spoke, said initially techs were re-using the old mounting...

Resurrection day for this thread! Well, after having more and recent issues with the heater in my Granby I went online looking for info. That led me to WTW where I've found plenty help in the past. This time it was helpful but with some discrepancies. After reading this thread I took OP's...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Moisture inside- Leak or condensation?

On a recent trip here in E. Washington with me, wife and pooch in the camper the vinyl had quite a bit of condensation in the morning. We have the thermal pack option and I wasn't too excited about wiping the vinyl . We opened all the upper windows in the vinyl then closed all the thermal pack...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Furnace Troubleshooting

Hey Phil I just learned this stuff today. Take a look at the video I noted. In that video the guy from FWC will cover most of the stuff. I can't recall if he pointed out the light that will flash codes. The little red light is right on the circuit board. He does point out the switch on the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Furnace Troubleshooting

Well, I'm a bit more educated now thanks to Brenda at FWC. She sent some great information! First is this: FURNACE TROUBLESHOOTING CODES AND POSSIBLE MEANINGS STEADY ON- NO FLASHING: This is a circuit board fault. No other issues need to be present for this fault code to show up. 1 FLASH, 3...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Furnace Troubleshooting

Thanks Paul, and no problem. I'm pretty certain (though not positive) it's not an air purge issue. Since the furnace is still under warranty I'm going to have Camping World take a look at it. I'll look into adding a propane appliance but I very much am at odds with that. I chose the shell...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Furnace Troubleshooting

My 6 month old Granbys Dometic furnace won't ignite but the blower does turn on. It did work perfectly until last Thursday night. Today, trying to figure things out it did ignite once but has since failed every time and several times prior to the one success. I've read on this forum about...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The first upgrades on a 2 week old Hawk

Your upgrades look great! The thermostat you used appears to be Honeywell TH1100DV1000 Pro-Digital 2-Wire Heat Only. What is the lowest temperature setting you it will allow? Can you set it to 35? Wish I'd gone with the Renogy panels instead of the 180 watt from BougeRV which weigh about 7...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Removing Bump Stops

Great thread. Since getting my Granby last November I've wondered about that very thing. I've thought of what I could store there but nothing really comes to mind that I use regularly or that I would want in that space. I think if those stops were removed I could even use my tailgate which would...

Thanks Jon R! Guess I should read my owners manual more thoroughly  . My solar setup will be pretty much identical.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roof lift gas struts

Jon, do you find the 40 psi struts adequate? The panels I'm installing (1 done, 1 to go) will be about the same weight as yours - slightly heavier. I was thinking going to 60 psi would be a good choice but it's kind of a guessing game.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roof lift gas struts

For what it's worth, I'm adding two 180W panels to the roof and will be upgrading the lift assist - MAYBE. My new FWC Granby has Suspa C16-15952 gas struts in front which are 40#. Those can easily be exchanged with model C16-10198 at 60#. Both are 35.43" extended, 19.29 compressed On the rear...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Using shore power instead of solar - question(s) regarding BMV-712

Thanks! I don't recall setting to auto sync. I'll read up on that. So putting the spare 12V AGM trolling motor battery in parallel with my two 6V AGM camper batteries could be as simple as just using jumpers from the 6V batts (in series) to the 12V? Would unplugging the BMV display be of any...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Using shore power instead of solar - question(s) regarding BMV-712

Craig, Since you're a boater you might be a great person to answer this puzzle. I have a fishing boat with a 12V bow mount electric motor. I want to go on extended multi-day fishing trips likely using the electric motor a lot. My thought is to have a second 12V battery (currently I'm using...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Using shore power instead of solar - question(s) regarding BMV-712

Craig, Dean, thank you. Sorry about the bad link. Yes, Craig, the link you provided is indeed the NOCO pigtail I use. Currently I have a NOCO charger (have had it for years but it's just 4 amps). I've been looking at the Victron IP22 Blue Smart Charger, 12/30, 120V, with three outputs. I'll...
