RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West TC Insurance questions, my current provider, USAA, is not doing a good job

I have had USAA Insurance for almost 50 years. My FW Hawk is insured by Progressive through USAA. There seems to be a problem with the terminology they use for truck campers, I called Progressive a few weeks ago to make sure they understood exactly what I was insuring. They assured me they...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Trip to Big Bend NP and Capulin Volcano March 23 - April 4

Excellent pictures. I did that trip the beginning of March. Spent three weeks in Texas. They have a lot of well maintained state parks and back roads to explore. Back country camping in Big Bend is awesome. I also will revisit that park.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Front mount receiver hitch

It's a 2016. Yes I had to remove air dam. It's a combination of push pins and small hex screws. Not very hard to remove. Harder to mark and cut hole to pass receiver through. I have limited skills in these things. There is a video on ETrailer web site that shows how to measure and cut out hole...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Front mount receiver hitch

I know it's an older thread, but new experience for me. Just finished install of front hitch and bike rack on my F350. Draw-Tite hitch and Swagman XTC-2 from Etrailer. So far seems very stable and clearance is good. Real test will be when I'm on unimproved rougher roads.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What do you get? MPG on F350 4x4 Diesel or Gas

This is my experience so far. My truck is 2016 F350 XLT 4x4 short bed 6.2L gas. I left New Orleans May 14 to drive to Sacramento for installation of new FWC Hawk to be installed May 20. Including side trips, drove 2800 mi at speeds of 65-70 mph. Truck only had 200 miles on it when I left, so was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Who has driven the farthest to pickup their camper?

I just returned to New Orleans with new Hawk from Woodland, CA. Google says 2247 mi, I did 6300 miles roundtrip. Didn't take shortest route either way. I was in no hurry and had a great time. Saw lot of places I would like to revisit when less crowded.
