RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West '98 Granby (Modified) For Sale

pods8, The pop up material is in pretty good shape for its age. There are a few pin holes here and there, nothing that would really leak except for a driving rain. The big problem and I'm given to understand is normal for this year camper is the clear flip up windows are distorted due to heat...

Once complete, I repaneled to two sides and overhang with new aluminum. I lowered the side window 1" to allow for the slide out supports and also lowered the front pass through window by 1-1/2" to align it with the trucks pass through.

Hello everyone, I've been looking at upgrading to an air bag system and would like some advice. I've had experience with air bag systems in the past..about 10-15 yrs ago and they were more of the commercial variety utilizing a self leveling control mounted on the frame rail and linked to the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Member with Used Keystone

Homemade, I can't quite recall the price of the hinges. I know Ben is cheaper than FWC. I would have had to buy all 6 hinges, I think it was somewhere around $130. Ben told me that they buy 6' piano hinges, take them apart, cut a couple of tabs off and when re-installing the pin, thread on...

CKent323, I wish you luck on your project! It seems your going thru exactly what I started this past summer. My bed floor was rotted in the same place, leaky flexable sides, almost non existent fold up end panels, nasty roof. The list goes on and on and on, just ask my wife. None of the...

Hello Everyone! I'm about ready to put in new floor covering and was wondering if anyone would like to weigh in on the pros and cons of this or that type. Up for consideration is Linoleum, snap together laminate flooring, or carpet. I have several boxes of what we call hog's hair, 12" glue...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Keystone - Crack in Board

My wife and I just bought a 1980's Keystone. It is in generally good condition except there is a crack, about a foot long, in one of the wooden boards in front holding up the top. Just curious if the boards are the only stuctures holding up the popped top and what should be done. Thanks. Steve...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Check here for leaks!!!

I don't know that I'd trust a plastic or nylon rivit on the ceiling. I'd be concerned with the shifting of the camper the rivit might wear over time. You put a series of holes in the aluminum and fill them with nylon or plastic and shift and twist over a bad road, over time the aluminum will...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West So where does your dog sleep?

The one and only time we've taken our dogs with us was last October. It got down below 30 degrees that night with no heat. My wife and I had zipped our sleeping bags together and our 65lb redbone was tucked in neatly down at our feet. Our 18lb beagle was tucked up under my arm. That is until...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Check here for leaks!!!

Yea, that sounds about right. About half of the roof had white silicone just around the rim. The rest had a generous coating of what I can only assume was off white latex which would peal off with very little pressure. Well for better or worse I installed the FRP dairy board on the roof...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Check here for leaks!!!

How were you considering attaching it to the frame? I thought for the headliner either gluing it with silicone or construction adhesive or using truss head screws and just gluing the perimeter so as not to wear holes in the side liner when the lid is down.
