It just looks like in one of the pics that there is quite a gap between the camper and the cab of your truck. I guess I assumed that the camper could not slide all the way forward due to the tail light skirts. It is probably just the angle the picture was taken.

Why are you selling this camper? Is it because it does not really fit your truck?

I looked at Palomino a year ago before the new campers came out. Their build quality was poor. The interiors of the new ones look the same. The exteriors look better. I just looked on their website, and it appears that the backpacker series has aluminum framing and the smaller one piece...

Great trip report. I was at the Wheeler Peak campground the same time as you. We came in late Monday the 6th of August and pulled out on Wednesday the 8th. It was a beautiful place, but the smoke put a damper on the views.

If it still matters, I really like the blue truck. It will be every bit as nice looking as grey. I have seen one and there is no hint of purple.

I own an '05 Tundra. It is the Phantom Grey Pearl (dark grey). I would recomend setting the 5100s at the 1.5 inch setting up front. Then get a set of BFG ATs in 265X70R17. This size can be purchased with an E rating. Mine are. I love the leveled look the 5100's gave me and there is plenty...
