RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Trim Bumpers?

You could cut about a half an inch off from the look of the picture, but there is no good way to get two inches without removing the front part of the bed. And note that travel on rough roads where the bed moves independently of the cab could result in damage.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC factory visit

The factory is a great tour. We really got a better understanding of how well the Four Wheel Camper is made after the visit. Depending upon your definition of nearby, The Colusa-Sacramento River State Recreation area is one choice back up I-5 a bit. Or, if you continue on to Folsom Lake State...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roof popping problem

If the roof of our Hawk oil-cans while driving, we don't hear it, but we sometimes hear the noise when camped if we open the side window or disturb the passenger side of the camper. Not sure why, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West High winds, any problems?

We've only been in the wind speed you've listed, but I know that more than one FWC owner has reported accidentally driving down the freeway fully deployed with no problems, so perhaps 70 MPH winds could be the topper?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to Wash Thermal Pack?

I wouldn't recommend 303 for spot cleaning because the thermal pack is made of Olefin, not PVC like the pop-up material. Ideally, you want all of the cleaning product you use to be rinsed away so that the breathable nature of the Olefin is preserved.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone add a extra grab handle ?

Backing out of the camper is the only way to go for me. I've memorized the step pattern which involves dropping my right foot onto the bumper, followed by the left foot to the license plate indentation, leading to the three step ladder. But I do grab onto the stock handle once i am outside.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Leveling blocks?

I was wondering what folks use to level campers on uneven ground. I've got a couple of old 2 by 6 boards, but they really only work in one and a half inch increments. There must be a better way.
