RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Spotted this FWC in Oakland near the airport. Seemed in perfect shape. I’m assuming it was stolen.

Hey guys, was in Oakland for a job Thursday night and spotted this FWC near the airport. I can send an exact location if you think it’s yours. It was late and definitely didn’t want to be lurking around looking for serial numbers. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0f74DoJWGf77OqbiFjqq1XPcA

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wind deflectors and Aero mods for fuel economy.

Good advice!! I’m not super worried about the bug splatters. I think it will be much easier to clean than the one on my roof. And I’d imagine I’ll just clean it when I clean my windshield at the gas station. I think it will be easier to keep the snow off of it in the winter and I suppose I can...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wind deflectors and Aero mods for fuel economy.

I was debating trying to find a solar panel to use as a deflector. The 100 watt Renogy survived a rollover accident and still works so I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t work as a deflector.

Hi Vic, we discussed that earlier and I included the link to the ski drawer setup.

They are screwed into the floor (which is a little scary being under the camper while on the tripod jacks). We added one more strip of plywood to add a little more clearance.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Onboard water storage & plumbing in < 32 F and < 0 F temps

Something that might help you out would be to get a garage thermostat that goes down pretty low (mine goes down to 35F though I wish it went lower) and to try leaving the heat on even when you’re traveling with the top down. From my experience it doesn’t take much energy to heat the small space...

I’ve been threatening to do the same. I’ve got a 2014 Bobcat on a 2007 f150. As of now I’ve got 3 plywood “boxes” Marty made me running east and west that I think give me about 4” of extra clearance. Check this out: https://youtu.be/jGi8sl3RawY

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Onboard water storage & plumbing in < 32 F and < 0 F temps

I have a hybrid system for cold temps where I don’t use the internal water tank in the winter in my bobcat. When I installed my 12 V pump I also installed a couple of valves and rigged a system to where I can use 6 gallon blue jugs instead of the main tank. It’s also nice if you want to bring...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2007 Bobcat on 2009 Tacoma

Does the 09 have a composite bed? The composite bed requires some extra mounting steps and equipment if so. If getting to Sacramento is handy prior I’d suggest having ATC do the install for you at the factory. I’ve had it done in my last two trucks there and feel it’s money well spent. If...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Atwood Stovetop in my ATC Bobcat not working.

Update: the stove started working a couple of hours later. I had turned the gas back on (to keep the fridge working) so it was pressurized and not working and then started working. Also, we were parked so there wasn’t any motion or altitude factor.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Atwood Stovetop in my ATC Bobcat not working.

Hey guys, currently camping up in the White Mountains at about 11,000 feet and my stovetop isn’t working. I have had similar problems with BBQ’s and after doing some research found a solution to reset the regulator by unhooking the propane and letting it rest for a few minutes and then after...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West All terrain exterior storm window cover vs. Four Wheel interior cover

I’d look at them as a bonus. I think if you remove them they pretty much the same window setup As a FWC. I have a Bobcat and rarely use them. When I’ve camped in the winter they’ve been super valuable keeping the snow from sticking to the mesh.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A few pre-purchase, Bobcat buyer questions...

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Bobcat shell, but looking for some info from owners about their experience with some of the options. 1. If you got the roof fan, are you happy with it's performance and did you place it fore or aft? Is a second vent a worthwhile investment? I will be in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Lagun Table also adds more counter space

I can't really remember how I mounted it and my camper is in storage right now but I think I just used the included sheet metal screws. I honestly don't use the outside setup as much as I had hoped. The inside setup though is awesome. The ability to extend the table to match the level of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ATC Bobcat on 2005 F150?

Hey guys, I have a 2014 Bobcat that I love. I've currently got it on a 2000 Tundra with a ton of miles and the truck is getting very tired. I was looking to upgrade to a newer tundra of the same generation with less miles. My hunt hasn't been going very well. It seems that this generation of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Lagun Table also adds more counter space

Hi guys, I just went on my first trip with my new Lagun table setup. Nothing too exciting about it working as a great table for the rollover couch on my ATC bobcat. But what I think is really cool is that I mounted in a position where I can raise it to the same height as my countertop...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West fastguns

I've thought about adding a chain with carabiners from the camper to tie down as a backup. Loose enough to not interfere with tightening but if Sh*t hit the fan and things got too loose you wouldn't lose your camper. It's a long story but the original owner of my Bobcat lost it out of the...
