Just went and took a look at what the wire gauge is. It looks like nearly all of it is 8 gauge, except for the black wire that goes from the battery in the upper part of the photo to the shunt in the lower right of the photo is 6 gauge. I think I'm going to get the new batteries set in place...

SOLD - I have a Wilco Tiregate that I can't use any longer. It worked great to hold the 2nd spare for my Ram 2500 and two 6 gallon VP fuel cans. I have the straps that hold the fuel cans down too. VP fuel cans not shown in the pictures. I paid close to $1,000 for it, but asking $400 (firm).

I just bought a 2018 Ram 2500 and ended up also getting the jack extension brackets. It was only clearing my stock fender flares by what seemed like millimeters.

I've found the GY Duratracs the best tire I've ever ran. As soon as the stock OEM tires on my Ram 2500 wear out I'll be back to the Duratracs.

I'm on my 3rd 3/4 ton diesel (over 313k mi total) and I'll never go back to a gasser. DEF is also never an issue...at all, and there is no "increased maintenance." My new 2018 Ram has 15k mi oil change intervals!!

I have a Wilco Hitchgate and I love it. The only con is the weight. If I have a spare tire for my Ram 2500 and two-6 gallon containers of fuel it's quite heavy. Still fine for my truck, but I think it'd be too much for a Tundra with a FWC in the bed.

Personally I think you have an issue/defect somewhere in the system and I don't think it's the design of the system. Something isn't working like it should be. I can run my refrig all night at a setting of 5 and still wake up with 85% of capacity remaining. If you're ever down in the SLO area...

IMO I'd spend $5k to $8k more and get a 3/4 ton with a diesel that will have way more power and provide better mileage when under load.

I love negotiating on new truck purchases. The 2018 Ram 2500 I bought in October had a sticker of $63,185, but I negotiated it down to $53,000 even. Not the deal of the century, but it was exactly the truck I wanted so I was happy.
