RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2017 Grandby - Roof leaking

FWC told me they use a polyurethane tape, through the yakima-track hole i could not detect a hole in the grey polyurethane beneath (so i couldn`t put in any sealant), to me it looked as if there had never been a screw in there and i had to force the replacement screw into the roof ( i had...

Need help, on my 2017 Grandby thats been on the road a little more than two years, about a month ago the roof started leaking. A couple of hours after a decent rain it started dripping just about in the middle (length) and right about underneath the yakima track (right side). This happened about...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Battery drain from recharging laptop

Its not very economic to use a 12 to 110 v inverter, just to plug in a power adaptor that transform it back to approx. 20v. There are plenty of 12 v chargers to choose from. Check for the V and Watt you laptop requires and make sure the plug fits your model. Mine is not a Appel, so i cant...

Shellpack, thanks for your response. Out of 160+ readers the only one with actual expierience. Do you have an idea why the floor fell out? Due to age (rotten wood f.e.), or using it without support? Are the campers still built the same way as 40 years ago? The "floor pac" you mentioned, are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current ( voltage ) on camper

Thank's to all of you. I'm still here, working my way through all that info esp. Mike's. Fact is, we are travelling south and i am quite sure my "normal" electricity source will have no ground. My solar ( 400 watt, 150 amp / 12 V ) won't get me enough to keep my batteries fully charged ( shorter...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current ( voltage ) on camper

Thanks Vic, the ground spoke ( earth pin ) is what i did to get to zero volts, i simply didn't expect any voltage on my camper without a proper ground. Old Crow, this seems to be extremely helpful and i'm glad you showed the link. I wasn't able to find a topic on WTW myself. Will work through...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current ( voltage ) on camper

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Speaking of freezing....

PEX - plumbing DOES crack, maybe not the tubes but the connectors will. Staying overnight with the furnace on is not the main issue, how about driving during daytime at 0F. Drain your system and stay safe.
