RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Slider window replacement

No hurry.Just when you get some time and thanks. Jay, I found my paperwork... I had JC's Glass do the install. The window was 273.78, 100 for install and sealant. Total with tax/disposal fee etc. was $404.07. It has been trouble free since June and has been great to use as a pass through...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Slider window replacement

"I had one put in my 04 Dodge Ram. There are several different options available. I think the unit I went with was made by CR Lawrence. It has been trouble free for the last year. The factory option was about 3 times as much, so I figured it was worth trying the aftermarket unit." Kyle, Which...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone with a FWC Falcon near AZ?

I would really like to see a Falcon up close (full camper or shell model) to get an idea if it's a realistic option for 2 adults. I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 with the 5' bed. I would really only use it for sleeping, not necessarily "living in" while camping. I need to see it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire Chains

Thanks...... With the 2005 4 Runner I don't really know yet how it wheels. It would be great to have a set in the car if there are chains required and to show that I have a set. But when I really would need them if I was in the back roads in Utah and got caught in a thunder storm and the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Slider window replacement

I know on my 02 Dodge the rear window is bonded to the body and isn't a do it yourself project. Could be the same with your 3rd gen truck. The 3rd gen is bonded as well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Slider window replacement

I've got an 03 Dodge Ram 2500. I just ordered a new Grandby and I had FWC put in an opening window into the camper. The problem is that the dodge just has a solid window. Has anyone poped out their glass and inserted a slider. If so, how hard was it? Any pitfalls? I can't wait for the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Leak Solved

Has anyone just tried to replace the fitting on top of the tank rather than replacing the tank? For those that have replaced the tanks, have you found a local supplier or did you just order from 4wc? Thanks, Kyle

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2nd Annual AZ Pop-Up Bowl

I forgot all about this. I'm ready for a little camping. I'll try to make it. If I do, I'll probably show up late Friday, before sunset or maybe Saturday afternoon. What is the drive through Phoenix from the I-10 eastbound to the 60 eastbound like on a Friday afternoon? It is kinda poopy...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How Does Your Significant Other Like The Camper?

Let me start off by saying"Happy wife, happy life". When it came time to buy an RV I discussed all the different types with my wife. Together we made the decision on which one to purchase. Now she can't complain. We started off tent camping so this is a step up. While not having a indoor shower...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Truck Help

I'm biased... obviously... but I think the Dodge is the best choice, if you're going Diesel. Are you set on new? A couple year old Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins would be a good choice. You'll get better mileage with about the same power vs. the new Diesels. Depending how much exploring you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone Ever Lose A Window?

:o Last year I picked up my 97 Granby in California and headed back to New Mexico through Nevada. Somewhere near Great Basin NP the side window went AWOL. I think the caulking/glazing whatever was just old and a few bounces and air pressure motivated the departure. I replaced with some Lowes...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Covenant Violation - I Am Not Believing This!

BTW... I had an hour with my attorney today... She thinks it is a winner. She pointed out several points where we can win, and if not on any individual point, the cumulative effect will make it a winner. Her point being - before it gets expensive - show up with both the attorney, as well as a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Expected Mileage?

Thanks all for the input, I know the 302 is minimal but was looking at a ATC pop-up with not too many goodies to keep the weight down as it will be mostly a fishin rig for just me. Camper or camper plus truck, that is the question. The fuel consumption and power is not just reduced by the...
