John, You can powder coat the underside of the flatbed. I just move into salt country a few weeks ago, so thanks for pointing this out as I will keep an close eye on my bed.

1st Base vehicle for the XPV2 This flatbed also has a storage compartment under the flatbed. Boxes are next.

On the new flatbeds I reinforced the boxes. So if you do hit them on the trail the damage will be minimal. The drawer now has a lid which doubles as a table. The rear bumper is a storage bumper to carry hoses or such. The mounting system is also new.
