The Auspit is only supported on one end (I wonder why they went with that design?), so that requires burly construction and yet is limited to 18-lb capacity. The Cowboy spit is supported on both ends. I wonder if the Auspit rotates "backwards" since it's from the southern hemisphere? I don't...

Yes, I did some calculating and agree that I probably need a 3/4 ton. At least I'd much rather be working well within the GVWR rather than at the bleeding edge. Money is now starting to be put aside for a full-size XP... dc Get a 1 ton( 350/3500) Price difference is not much but then you...

Did the $19995 include the flatbed? Cool idea. Rob No, since they can range from $2500 all the way up to $5-7000 depends what you want on them. I am also working on a slide in version, which of course will have way less inside space.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Catastrophic Loss of Refrigerant from 3-Way Fridge

If you've read my recent Trip Report you heard what happened to me/my camper in northern Arizona: a sudden loss/leak/venting of the refrigerant -- ammonia -- from my Norcold 3-way refrigerator. This happened while driving on some bumpy roads...not sure if that was the cause -- these roads...

DC I think the limitation would be in a 1500 truck. 4 people, dog, camper and a bike with gear, food and beer might be pushing the GVWR. We could do a swing out carrier to assess the rear of the camper.

Or you just space it up a bit with a sheet of plywood or something. Not perfect, but an easy fix. No WOOD in my campers.... at least no Ply WOOD!!!

Will this work for us Colorado owners? Ute Ltd link Video Yeah, might work. I don't care for the lip they have on the sides. So it's really not a "flatbed" but a flatbed with a lip. That means we need to build the cabin to fit inside the lip.

I would rather find a good flatbed like the one on your rig anyway, any suggestions? My flatbed are made to my specs. They are how ever not inexpensive as they have lot's of cool storage solutions, slide out ladder, which is not needed in this case and a quick release, which could be utilized...

Likewise I am VERY interested at that price point. Ideally I personally would like something like an XP V2 to fit on a 1/2 ton truck (like my F150) - the smaller trucks are too small for my family of four + dog, and the big 3/4 tons I don't need for the rest of the year when I'm not camping. I'd...

To clarify, will the slide in model be available for full sized trucks and whats the eta on that (as the post above specified full size trucks). Thanks from the post police :D I'll first do the flatbed, since it is easier to build. Probably by the end of this year. Slide in's will have a...

What is the gap between cabover and cab? What flat beds are people using on the Tacoma and is it possible to built from the frame up? At this price point, I am *very* interested... 2" Not sure if i want to deal with a frame mounted camper as of now, since that opens up a whole other cans of...

I'm assuming that is for the double cab though? I was talking about a regular cab. But if you're planning for customizing the length if needed then people shouldn't have any worries and can trade off overhang verse interior space needed. Yes, you can customize some things as lengths, interior...
