RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Is slight misalignment of camper a reason to reload?

Doubt there is any way to do it for a Grandby but when one of the original elevator bolts broke on my Fleet during a trip my wife and I were able to lift the one side slightly and shift it back into alignment.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

From what I have seen the air is a tad cooler coming from the turnbuckle ports.

I suppose a staple gun could be used? I don't see why you could not use a staple gun to add some security I get how, with tabs, you can pull off screen from inside the camper, I do not get how you would reattach from inside the Camper? You actually use the tabs to install the screens. Just pull...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

Bernard I use my installed thermal liner velcro to hang stuff too but when I build my thermal liner I will just add a strip on the outside so I can continue using it. I was hoping you had one b/c I need some measurements and I see you are in VA. Brock

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Replacing Atwood/factory stove for flush mount glass top?

I would love to have the increased space of a glass top stove and I was wondering if anyone here has replaced their Atwood/standard stove with a glass top. It looks like Panther RV has a Dometic one that is roughly the same size as my current one. I know it does not have piezo/electronic...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

The plastic mesh is the same stuff that people make those cheesy tissue holders out of. See below. I have also ordered stuff from Sailrite but I used to live a few blocks from Seattle Fabrics and would stop into their storefront almost once a month. Small operation and great service. Makes me...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

If you guys give me a few weeks to get my Fleet back together I will make some up for you. I have to bust out the sewing machine again to make my thermal liner and some no see um screens for the pop-up windows so I'll be in touch. -Brock

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

Bernard, You can take them on and off from the inside. If you look at the first picture I added some webbing that acts as a "handles". Question for you...do you have an Arctic Pack for your Fleet? -Brock

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

Where did you pick up no-see-um sized mesh? I pretty much buy everything outdoor fabric related from Seattle Fabrics. I also don't quite understand where the plastic canvas comes into play. The no see um is backed by the plastic canvas. The no see um is essentially sandwiched between a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Turnbuckle door screens

I was trying to come up with a way to get a bit more ventilation into the camper by using the turnbuckle hatch opening and still have a screen covering the opening so I sat down at the sewing machine and came up with the below item. I ended up using "plastic canvas" to add some rigidity to the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 3-way fridge vs Engel (compressor) fridge

I replaced my 2 way with my ARB fridge and don’t regret it one minute. I know it’s not exactly the same as your situation but I prefer having the digital read out of the chest compressor type fridges and the way they sip power. I ended up putting the counter above the fridge on stay open hinges...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Maxx Fans Installed

Great to know Lighthawk. I look forward to using them this summer. I’m really not sure why they are not standard or at least an option from FWC as the quality seems a tad better. I also like the fact that if if the fan ever breaks I can just remove the fan assembly and don’t have to go through...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Maxx Fans Installed

One of the projects this spring was to install some new fans. My Fleet had a Fantastic Fan over the bed but one of the things I didn't like about the Fantastic Fan was that when it is raining it is essentially useless. I also wanted to install a fan in the rear vent which to my delight was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Arctic Pack Dimensions?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Corrosion Issues/Help

Thanks for the help guys. I finally removed all of the staples this evening, cleaned it with a vinegar/dish soap mixture and then when over again with denatured alcohol.
