Frank, Thanks for the words of encouragement. She loves being wild and free like her papa. The camper allows this perfectly. Brock

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wife's blog about our travels

Andy, Thanks for the great recommendations. We used to live in Seattle and while we lived there we hit all of the PNW stuff in our old setup. Pretty much all of the west coast parks are complete except for AK and HI. We feel the same about Yellowstone and loved Teton. We can't wait to get back...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wife's blog about our travels

My wife created a blog to document our travels and hopefully help those who want to foster a wanderlust in their little ones. It is still in the early stages but please go have a look and spread the word. I recently submitted a guest post chronicling the modifications I have made to our Fleet...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Combination Deadbolt

Masterlock makes one that is close but the cutout hole is a bit too small. Didn't wanna mod the door so I returned it. I have a combicam on my propane door so I just hang a key in there for when we are away from the camper for short periods.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

Looks like the Fleet is 4" wider than the Eagle in that area. I just measured the length of my fridge area and from the wall to the edge of the propane compartment it measured 26".

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane compartment question

You could always lock it with a combi-cam. Gives you the option of locking when you want or leaving unlocked when you don't. They are nice too because you don't need keys to access.

That looks like a pretty cool product. I was looking for something like that a few months back and settled on a Truma levelcheck http://www.levelcheck.com/us/

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Favorite Battery Monitor System?

I would like to add that the Victron monitors amps in and out just like the Trimetric. I liked the fact that Victron's solar controller was MPPT instead of PWM which from what I read was a bit more efficient. The compatablity of using all Victron products and the clean look is what appealed to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Organization

Did a few more organization tricks in the Fleet. Hope these help someone get the most out of our small space. Drawer divider Modified shoe holder to keep stuff off the counter Soap holder Velcro on dish towels Strap with velcro as paper towel holder

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

What year is your Eagle? I did not really have to modify the cabinet on my 2011 Fleet but I did put the countertop above the fridge on a hinge so I could get into it easier. I also took the sides of the cabinet off that the Dometic fridge was attached to so that my ARB looked a bit more factory...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

I kind of went a "weird" direction and installed my ARB in the Dometic's old location. It sips power and I am pleased as punch at the result. Just got back from a 5 day trip and rarely used more than 5 amps per day which my 100W solar has no trouble recouping by about 10am. Thanks to everyone...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Replacment Thermostat

Is there any way you could post a pic of your thermostat? I really wanna switch to a Honeywell digital but it looks like the dimensions will be tight.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Favorite Battery Monitor System?

I would cast another vote for the Victron. It fits perfectly in the open space right above the FWC monitor and looks factory. The price is extremely reasonable as well. I just installed the monitor and solar controller in my Fleet and I couldn't be happier. Monitor Shunt

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Foot switch for faucet?

I finally got around to installing my foot switch. I ended up installing an SAE plug so I could disconnect it if need be. We just got back from a 5 day trip and it really seems to save water as well as keeping the counter a bit drier when washing hands. Thanks to Billharr for the wiring assistance.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need more power Scotty!

Another somewhat simple question for those of you with a 700/702 and Victron MPPT. Do you generally wire the battery side of the MPPT directly to the battery or do you wire the negative to the shunt and the positive to the battery? Nevermind, I was able to answer my own question. I wired the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need more power Scotty!

Got my Victron 700 BVM installed tonight and I couldn't believe how easy it was. I still need to shorten the comm cable to the display but man it was an easy install. Thanks to all of those that answered my questions. Now onto my MPPT 75/15 install this weekend.
