Rando I knew you would come through. That is the exact info I was looking for. I had seen the graph in early posts but just want to make sure I was programming properly. Thanks again.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need more power Scotty!

Quick question about the Victron Bvm. I am running 2 Odyssey PC1400s in parallel and each battery is rated at 60-65ah for a total of 120-130ah total but I read that only 50% (60-65ah) of that is useable. Can anyone confirm that? I want to ensure that I set the BVM up correctly and that it is not...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L Fridge (AC/DC) - SOLD

SOLD!!!! I am selling my Dometic 65L out of my 2011 Fleet. I bought the Fleet used and have decided to use the ARB fridge I already had. The fridge looks and works like new but I just don't need it. I am located in Northern VA and would like to get around $500 for it. Thanks for looking

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

I was planning on doing a slide too and it's good to know that helps as far as getting into the fridge with the roof down. I will get back to a front load but right now the ARB make financial sense until I can sell the Dometic and go the Engel SR70 route.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Engel SR70F in Fleet?

I'm with you as far as external penetrations. I had a roof rack when I bought the camper and the first thing I did was to take it off and seal the holes with JB Waterweld and 5200 over that. Take a look at coolerguys.com for a/v fans. Looks like they have some really good options.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Engel SR70F in Fleet?

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will eventually go with an Engel 70. I would cut a hole in the counter above the fridge and install an a/v cabinet fan on a thermo switch to vent it a bit. As for right now, I am running my ARB in place of my Dometic. Ranger, Is there any way you can let me...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

Well, I decided to pull my Dometic to see if my 37 Qt ARB would fit in its place and it fit quite well. Does it look factory? No, but I think it will work quite well and save a lot of power. It looks like the power draw is roughly 1 amp which is way better than the Dometic. I lost quite a bit of...

Perfect. Exactly the info I was looking for and what I concluded. I like the no vent option as well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Engel SR70F in Fleet?

Thanks for the heads up. I have a 37qt ARB portable but I really want to keep the functionality of a front load fridge. I kicked around the idea of installing my ARB where the Dometic is but it's a bit too big for the fridge location. I am still really just trying to figure out the size of an...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Engel SR70F in Fleet?

Esus I took a look at this last night and if I go the Isotherm route it will be a hard choice between Isotherm and Truck Fridge. I am really curious about the Engel because from my research it draws about 1 amp less than the Danfoss fridges.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Engel SR70F in Fleet?

I am kicking around the option of swapping my power hogging Dometic 65L for an Engel SR70F. I am also looking into the Isotherm 65L but I really like the power usage stats of the Engel. I was wondering if anyone has installed one in their Fleet or Eagle? The dimensions on the Engel website are a...

Can anyone give me some real world numbers for am Isotherm 65L?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

Ron I completely agree but it looks like it is more of a camper fridge manufacturer issue. It seems that all of them pull quite a bit of power. The top loading style fridges like ARB are naturally more efficient anyway. Brock

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

97 I saw that as an option but at this point, I am really averse to putting a hole in the side of the camper. That might be an option if the Isotherm doesn't correct the issue.......Nevermind. I took a look at your page and saw what you did. I may have to take a look at this option and maybe...

Buckland Thanks for the encouragement. The wife and I were actually talking about that option tonight and I think that I what we are going to do. I even kicked around selling the ARB too but it is super nice having that as an option. I also would like to keep from mounting anything on the roof...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

That does help but it's not what I really wanted to hear. I love the Fleet but the fridge is definitely disappointing. I guess you take the good the the bad because it to way better than the way we used to camp (in a topper). Thanks for the help.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

I guess that being said what are the options other than replacing fridge with maybe an Isotherm. I am working on adding 100w of solar but that doesn't change the fact that the Dometic draws what 5 amps? I am thinking of pulling the fridge and putting my ARB there.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

I have a 2011 Fleet that I purchased used. We took it out last weekend and I was surprised to find that the fridge ran almost constantly. I used to use an ARB 45 qt behind the driver seat in our Tacoma prior to getting the camper and I could go about 2 days without it running the battery down. I...

Can anyone answer one quick question about the Victron 75/15? It it required to have a load connected our can you just run it to the battery/batteries. I have a National Luna kit in my Tacoma with one aux battery under my hood and one battery in the camper connected in parallel. I am looking to...

Before I bought my 2011 Fleet used I looked and looked for ideas on organizing the small space but could really find anything so I thought I would share my ideas and updates since getting it out of storage. I work in the maritime industry so I am used to living on boats and utalizing every nook...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Foot switch for faucet?

Thats the one I was looking for but I would still like to have it wired to the microswitches. I may just have to do some experimentation.
