This should help. Most newer trucks have a battery charge connection that has +12V only when the key is on. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx Welcome to WTW! PS: now that I have woke up....did I pass out or what? All of the light circuits are there. On some trucks, the fuse and/or...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Catastrophic Loss of Refrigerant from 3-Way Fridge

Do you know it leaked? I was supposed to say-"do you know where it leaked"... There was a thread a few months ago by Randygirl. I believe he put a side door Engel in place of the built-in 3 way reefer. That's the way I would go. BTW, sorry we didn't get hooked up in Utah, but (as you know)...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tore Out Mounting Tiedown on Camper

Interesting that you have such tight tolerance on the bed rails. I know different trucks have different heights, but that sounds very close! I have about a 1" gap on the Ford. My old Power Wagon had about 2". The black foam, 1/2" pipe insulation compressed very well...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tore Out Mounting Tiedown on Camper

I have my Granby mounted with bolts through the floor. Have done this with two trucks that see a fair amount of dirt roads. I use four 3/8 #5 bolts and a nylok nut. A large fender washer on the topside. On the bottom, I made a 3x5x3/16 steel plate along with a piece of 1/4 rubber (old bed...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a back porch

Definitely go the three tube route. My friend did that and went all over Baja. The middle receiver tube is enough to support the weight, however having the out board supports keep the channel from swaying and prevent the "bending moment" from stressing the middle support, which could lead to...
